Massive freakout incoming, as Harry Potter TV show moves closer to becoming a reality. What are the odds that this will be the last time they allow a thread about the HBO MAX Harry Potter program?

I wish they would just make another show about a different Wizard school in America or Europe. Trying to recast all the principal characters of the original series is an absolute fool's errand, as is trying to re-tell the full story all over again. If this were HBO proper, I think they'd have to good sense to make a prequel or sequel series as they have done with Game of Thrones and Watchmen. But since it's actually a Warner Brothers/Discovery venture, I imagine they will make the dumbest decisions possible. Nobody wants remakes of Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, etc.
