At the debtor's exam, you're required to answer questions, under oath, about your finances and ability to pay the judgment owed to that creditor. The judgment creditor will ask you questions about:

  • whether you own any assets, including real estate and bank accounts
  • how much other debt you owe, and to who, and
  • your employment information, including income and where you work.

Possible Jail Time If You Don't Appear and Participate​

You can't go to jail if you don't pay the judgment creditor. But you can go to jail if you fail to appear for a debtor's exam. If you don't show up, the court may find you in civil contempt for disobeying its order. If you ignore the court's summons, it may also issue a warrant for your arrest. If you're found in contempt, the court may issue sanctions against you, which can include fines and jail time.

Usually, you can't refuse to answer its questions, unless the judgment creditor is being abusive or harassing or doesn't follow the court's rules and procedures. So the brothermen seem to largely agree that Piggy is clearly hoping the SWATting (broadly defined) will get him out of paying Quasi. But I really can't see how...?

Does he not see that even if he could prove that, they're two separate matters?

Someone on ONA said it may be private due to privacy concern however it wouldnt suprise me if some info leaked to the brothermen and we got a little sneak peak into his assets. I wanna know who they'll hire as an attorney being they just croaked up 5k for a little winter getaway to mehico.

His wife has income and the debt collectors are sharks. It won't be that easy.

IANAL, but I think he would have to declare bankruptcy before doing that.

In another case where the plaintiff wasnt a terminally online retard this may be the case, but he posts all his toys and vacations and cars on social media so there is evidence to support him not being broke.

I dunno. DSP got off scot-free with his debts, despite pulling six figures annually and troll gayops information being volunteered to the courts. We'll see if Patrick is as resilient as the Pigroach himself.
