Sam Hyde

Harley’s a nice enough guy, he seems like he genuinely tries and there’s something to be said for that.
I completely disagree with that. I think he's just like Boogie where he'll say and act like he cares but just as easily skinwalk from group to group if it means it will get him some reward.

It's the whole "I'm a nice guy Mr. Rogers and I don't know nothing but I'm trying" act that we've seen before, but when it benefits him he doesn't mind telling people how he's the Internet badass troll by hanging out with Sam Hyde to use him for clout, then when he's gotten what he needs from that, he'll toss Froggy under the bus without second thought to protect his new grift.

Edit: They even have that same downy expression on their face all the time

It's that weird constantly sad and depressed look, like they're miserable the whole time no matter what.

Sam's stream could be good if he took the time to be all about those few hours of the day and engaged with the viewers.
Instead he's doing this performative Choco Willinks style "work-maxing" shit where combines it with the things he actually needs done "to make the most out of the hours of the day" and both get half-assed, just so he could act like he's too good for it.
It should be PGL with audience engagement, right now it's just hours of disdain.
I don't get the paypiggers, it's a total crapshoot if he'll engage with you.

He should be doing what Charborg does and like actively have the chat engage with him in games and stuff, would be way more interesting and fun.
But for some reason Charborg's the only youtuber/streamer to do it at all so far.

This would go a long way to change up donations, too. Give the audience something else to talk about besides being 30, fat, and unemployed. These retards are already desperate to throw money at the screen, just do the occasional gimmick stream and donos would explode. It could be the simplest shit, too. $3 to whip Jet with a branch, $5 to make Joeyy eat his first vegetable, who cares.

Sam's modern gimmick feels like it can be summarized as "nothing really mattress & the world is a joke but also please donate money so I can eat." He regurgitated some basic shit about not sweating over debt alongside some other /pol/ Lite views & now he has a loyal army of preteen boys desperate to receive a crumb of masculine advice in an increasingly fake-gay society. Youtube fed him views & now he's their slave. The problem is none of his views on anything are very novel & it starts to become obvious he's struggling to be a self-help guru yet aloof all at the same time.

I've skimmed through this thread's posts since late February and I don't think this was mentioned before:
Sam defends himself against accusations that he is a "trust fund kid", detailing his concept of what risk entails and again promoting "cred-maxxing":

One can find his reply deep in an exceptionally (and autistically) long comment chain started by an anti-Sam commenter, leading to much debate about whether or not Sam is the right type of person to give such advice:

"He got out with zero debt from not one, but two colleges. RISD and CMU" I don't think that's right. Sam has said his time at RISD cost 250k and I'm almost positive he still owes money to the schools. His dad cut him off at some point and I have a really hard time believing he paid a quarter million dollars for a son he basically disowned.

Sam says his father paid for his schooling; to which he is referring to his time in two undergraduate colleges:

People have really taken the cred-maxxing meme out of context. The point is to get people to think of borrowed money as a tool. This isn't revolutionary in the slightest. The idea isn't "more debt = more good" it's "borrow money for a smart investment or business, don't waste it on a degree that won't make you money." In Sam's case he borrowed money to buy Bitcoin which was profoundly risky but he got lucky.

Another aspect to debt-maxxing is renegotiating the payments on your debt to be so small that it doesn't matter what the rate is because you're never going to pay it off and won't need to. For example instead of a payment of $300 a month it's only $8. Yes, that's really possible.

In this clip he's talking specifically about debt collection and his advice works. They also give you the option to pay it off in one lump sum for a significantly lower amount than what you owe. Like a $2000 debt being settled for $300 if you pay right now today.

If you get to the point of a debt collector contacting you your credit score will have already taken a hit but I imagine there are plenty of cases where the pros of having your debt reduced to a comically low level outweigh the cons of a temporarily decreased credit score. I'm curious to know more.

Huh. I see the point, but I think his sense of humor takes over here to make him look like an idiot instead of a psycho like it usually does. Shitty advice at face value that's not that bad when you think about it is having me feeling off.

Seeing how much a shithole Providence is is kind of shocking. I always assumed most New England cities would be relatively nog free and nice.

It's not shitty advice, it's quite literally investing 101

If you can borrow money at 4% interest rate and generate a 5% return on it, that's literally free money.
I said it's shitty only at face value, and said face value is "go into debt maxing out credit cards on Bitcoin." You missed the part where I said it's good advice when you realize what he's actually trying to say.

Mate, it's not shitty. It's just investing and S T O C K S ↗️↘️↗️, which is just gambling with extra steps and a shiny coat.

How retarded are you guys? I'm saying it only sounds like a bad idea AT FIRST. Can't you fucking read? I know he's investing and stuff, but if you don't know anything about debt-maxxing, it sounds like he's encouraging you to go into debt. I'm just reiterating a point made by @hob_dob_gum earlier.

Nah cunt, you're just walking back what you said after finding no one agreeing with you. When Sam talks about credit/debt-maxxing it is pretty easy understand in context. You've gotta be a pretty big silly billy to not understand it aye.

Charles is coming back to America soon. Nick said he's on his way back today, which was yesterday so he might actually be back already. Is it just me or is this drum solo just slightly off beat?
