legit *anything*, many levels below the severity of sepsis can make really old people delirious; especially when they are suffering something else combining to make them a bit extra fragile- hospitals are trained to recognise that an old patient who seems totally demented is not necessarily like that usually. UTI? they go nutso/ Lil bit constipated? Nutso.Could be both. Could be infection based delirium like elderly people get and sends them nutso. It did that to my nan when she had sepsis before she died. Because it was so deeply intrenched it affected the other bodily systems. And her blood pressure was too low to give her the anti anxiety meds to quell the delirium. Which, on thinking, may be what has happened here.
It bodes so, so, so badly for all these troons futures.
hopefully for them, some more serious exogenous hormone induced cardio/kidney issues see them off quicker than it takes them to get actually geriatric, as a mercy, because holy fuck they are basically there already in terms of terrible stuff that starts happening to the most normal of healthy people.
Thats why i don't understand, fundamentally, how the medical industry, which knows fine fucking well how an ageing populations urinary health develops (badly), sign off on any of this shit.
it just flat out doesn't make sense, whatsoever.
but then hey, huge corporations are willing to do all kinds of insane short term thinking shit environmentally, so i suppose its the nature of the beast..but like, at least you can kinda forgive them there for it being somewhat abstract?
Vague *the earth* instead of actual, named individuals bodies.
s'fucked.
