It's not positive, it's just a silver lining, I'm basing the scenario of what happened 100 years ago during the great depression and on countries under heavy societal stress, the US was mostly white and had little internal issues so it spent much of it time trying to get out of the depression economically (though roosevelt failed for the most part only to win at the end due to ww2), but other countries that were under great stress like Germany or Spain ended up getting a lot more radicalised since there's no real incentive to compromise and instead would try to destroy the other, I doubt we would be Germany which elected Hitler who solved most of their issues pretty quickly since the dems and republicans will never allow someone like that to ever get a decent vote, so Spain is what we're gonna get, given that before the civil war, the spanish left had been targeting christians and desecrating the graves of nuns amongst other actions to demoralize the right and get what they believe was revenge against the clergy, its not difficult to spot the parallels, what is difficult is finding out when our great depression comes, we're already in a recession and high inflation and due to the recent bank collapses, a lot of banks in the US and EU has had to take bad assets and liabilities, it won't collapse now, but eventually the system will collapse. Sorry for the long post, I'm fucking tired and should probably get an early rest

Not the 1970's, but they are definetly still living in the early 2000's. They think of the internet as being merely a side show and support for the MSM, they still think that you can just have a small cabal in D.C. and control the narrative.

They are in a bubble of political class bullshit and D.C. cliques that doesn't realize the world change. They are still operating in the same sort of playbook that Clinton and Bush used. Obama was only mildly successful at changing that a bit, and most of it was done by supporters of his outside of the bubble being hyped to do it themselves, not his actual people in D.C.

Remember: Obama had neoliberals pretending to be progressives. Biden has progressives who think they are neoliberals. They don't understand realpolitik in D.C. anymore, they are drinking their own kool-aid.
