It seems like Sony's only ever good when they're behind Xbox. PS3 had such variety, it's a shame that the last two generations have increasingly become pumping out cookie cutter third person adventure games, you don't get something like Playstation Home or Modnation Racers anymore, everything seems to be single player or limited multiplayer now.

Reports coming out of a new Playstation handheld being developed under the internal codename "Q-lite".

Penciled in to release toward the end of next year and will have a big focus on cloud gaming.

It will most likely get fucking annihilated by the tail end of the Switch/launch of the Switch 2.

its not even a real handheld if the rumors are true, its more like the WiiU's gamepad if anything

Oh boy, I can't wait. Will it be compatible with my massive OnLive and Google Stadia catalogs I've built up over the years? I haven't logged into either in a while but I bought a whole lot of games on both. I sure have a heck of a backlog to get through, I can't wait to play them all on a new portable PlayStation!

Its actually not cloud gaming at all, its whatever Playstation's off-screen play is called. So you need your own PS5 to even be able to stream it. Will be always online and not actually have its own library at all.

If that really is the case then it's extremely stupid because you can already do that with their smartphone app.

Well, extremely stupid it be then because its literally just a bespoke device for that. Probably going to look like a PS5 controller with a giant screen in the middle, like that old patent for a hybrid from five years back.
 
Sounds more like an accessory than anything else. It better do a damn good job of whatever it does do at least.

Oh, both PSP and Vita could do remote play. The technology just wasn't even a lightyear away from being playable on PSP, and still didn't work well at all on Vita. The tech's there now, but even with a good router, remote play still kinda sucks.

Yeah, same for Xbox and Steam. There's also that Logitech G Cloud machine, a $349 handheld that's designed around cloud gaming. I don't know why anyone would buy one, especially when the Switch is $300 and Steam Deck is $400.

It won't, lol. I seriously doubt it'll be any less than $200, bare minimum. I'm sure retail employees will love dealing with countless returns from people thinking it's a Sony Switch, who are confused when they can't just download games to the damn thing.

Going through Horizon Forbidden West on its Ultra Hard difficulty right now; this difficulty really does show how unbalanced this piece of shit is. Everything has melee or ranged attacks, and while they might mix them up, one will always focus on getting in your face, while the others shoot at you or might decide to join in and blindside you while you're focusing on another enemy. Speaking of focusing on enemies, there is no lock on mechanic, and despite everything being a machine that weights anywhere from 200 pounds to several tons; everything runs, jumps, spins, and does aerial acrobatics like an olympic athlete. Since your main character is a mere human, she's easily knocked down and has massive fucking recovery frames, frames that don't always offer invincibility, so after you get knocked down, the enemies can continually fucking rape you. Now throw in the balancing from the difficulty, and everything becomes a massive fucking tank that can take minutes to bring down while you can die very quickly. This isn't a problem as most of the game allows you to run or stealth past the machines, and most fights with solo big machines isn't that bad, it's when there's more than one enemy coming at you does shit become fucking stupid. and that's most of the forced combat events. You can't run, you can't hide, and fighting is a battle of fucking attrition because when one of the enemies continually fucking jump at you, others are shooting at you, knocking you down, and treating you like the retard you are for even doing this shit.

All while the main character's black friend routinely calls for help, but he's not the main character so none of the enemies bother to pay attention to him... but you better believe he cries like he's fighting for his life while you're getting shot and ran down by massive war machines.

Guerilla should've stayed making space nazi shooters. They made an interesting concept, but there's no balance to this shit heap.

So I have a crazy theory and wanna know if I am just being retarded. Do you all think that people working on Sony Studios would be feeling a bit humiliated by how Jim Ryan and Soyny overall is fighting so hard to keep COD, all the way to saying that they wouldn't be shit without COD? I'd imagine it must feel kinda sad that you push out those DEEP CINEMATIC MOVIEGAMES and then you have Jim Ryan sucking dick like he is in public. Like he is not telling lies necessarily but...I don't know.

In fact, Jim Ryan bitching the way he is IS very humiliating in general.
