People were accusing him of striking videos for years. He was.
Are we going to address the fact that all those accusations
were correct? Not for KGullible. We found the bodies of 5 hookers under the floorboards, but not the particular hooker we were looking for, so he's clean.
I really didn't think Phil would post this because it shows that he does exactly what he says he doesn't do. But moreover I think I see something here that I suspected before this - Phil went after DDM himself ahead of the Sidescrollers interview, likely in an attempt to cripple the clips people had linking to archived videos. The timing on this also coordinates with a surge in the 'unauthorized' takedowns on clip channels that had some transformative content, so there may well have been coordination there with another party. I think this is all part of a larger damage control that started ahead of the interview, and Phil's claim page supports that. It's continuing now because he just got his ass handed to him in an interview and watched Craig conclude he was lying - Phil confirms even in this video he uses the system out of spite at times.
We can't overlook the timing on this. Phil doesn't suddenly take action on a whim - he only stops being lazy when he believes he has a direct benefit, and he took action here. Quite suddenly.
So he admits, in his own video, to abusing the copyright claim system against people who make fun of him until "they learn their lesson" in his eyes. Interesting move DSP, surely there's no way this could ever come back to bite you in the ass.
Tevin had some interesting reactions on his stream, given that he's been around and recognized some of these older channels. In particular, Loophole's video was transformative. Phil targeted a few people over personal vendettas with them, and hit works that were transformative. I don't know why we're supposed to believe he wouldn't be interested in doing the same now somehow.
