It's like the one universal constant among trans 'community' is the chronic inability or unwillingness to have any grasp on other people's perspectives. It's a deficiency of empathy skills- the ability to accurately predict and identify what other people are thinking and feeling. They have the same "mind-blindness" that people on the autism spectrum struggle with, which is not surprising considering the huge overlap between ASD and gender dysphoria.
Typically when people don't understand what others think, they use their own mental state as the sort of 'default model' that all other minds are based off of. If you ask a 4 year-old what sort of gift their parent might like, they'll probably recommend a toy or their favorite type of candy, simply because it's something the child likes. So because the child likes it, they'll assume that it's an inherently great gift that everyone likes, because they haven't yet grasped that people have different preferences or what those preferences are. But eventually they grow up and develop empathy skills that allows them to understand the ways that other people think and feel differently.
But the same thing happens with autists and transactivists on the internet, even when it comes to information theory. They'll spend hours a day, reading blog articles and tweets on a website that only 5% of Americans ever check once a month. And because they're highly aware of what JK said, or what trans issues are, they'll assume everyone else has been exposed to and read the same content.
So they operate from the assumption that cis people accept the premise that the IP fuels "trans genocide", but consume HP anyway it anyway because they want trans people to die. That's their only rationalization. It doesn't occur to them that people can consume HP honestly oppose any harm to trans people- if only because they're unaware of Rowling, her tweets, or have failed to be persuaded that the franchise's success will actually cause any harm to anyone.
In reality the majority people who read Harry Potter can't even name the author.
Other than that, across the board they fail to grasp why anyone shares Rowling's beliefs. They think that Rowling considers transwomen to be men because she's a highly-successful author, so if you take away her royalties she'll suddenly change her mind on it. Or at the very least, she'll panic about a shrinking royalty check and give them lip service to keep the millions coming in. Which won't happen, Rowling has lost far more millions donating to various humanitarian causes, but fuck those starving kids- their lives matter less than the anxiety experienced terminally-online first worlders.
They also think that anyone had their views on trans issues swayed or determined by anything Rowling says, when in reality they formed those views long before they even heard of Rowling and will still hold them even if she does a complete 180 and yells "TRANS RIGHTS" like a magic incantation.
Because trans activists live their lives and explore the world vicariously through pop culture, fiction and social media. Whereas for normies, their views of sex and gender are defined by real-world experiences. They know that people falsely represent themselves, constantly, and that it's 300x easier to lie about yourself online without the giveaways of body language.

The real lesson of the Cold War should be about how America lost its shit and harmed only Americans because so many people stupidly convinced themselves the Soviet system was superior rather than always doomed. Reagan's reputation as a Cold Warrior and confronter traditionally ignores that he's the only President who actually seemed to believe the American system was inherently superior and achieved all his diplomatic breakthroughs because he always assumed he was negotiating from the superior position that he was. Everybody was paranoid about secret Soviet agents infiltrating America and converting people to communism through some kind of black magic even though communism sucks that they ignored how they were turning the state into a Soviet clone to supposedly prevent this by restricting American's rights and "outdo" the guaranteed failed communist system with equally failed central planning.
The American communist movement never took off because it was beset by weirdos, perverts and infighting leading to constant splitting and denouncing of each other even though collectively they were already irrelevant especially when they tried to convince increasingly prosperous Americans to overthrow the system. In the archives of all the communist states there's endless memos about how utterly useless and insane the American communists were and it's why pretty much every state switched to employing non-ideological mercenaries with cold hard American cash. (This would help hollow out many of the European communist movements as the communist states quickly learned the advantages of free trade also applied there compared to shoving money blindly at collapsing infighting political parties in the West that never got electoral traction.)

On the one hand, yes. On the other, the damage troons are causing is pretty big, and the possibility of them getting decades to wreak havoc before the Gender War is over is disheartening. From the pronouns and fucking up science problem, to the destruction of every group and hobby they infest, to the personal experience with losing friends and loved ones to this mental illness you're not currently allowed to treat as a mental illness, that's a lot of direct harm, small and large. Even when the pendulum starts its full swing back, it's going to have knock-on effects as well - more troon shooters, pushback (your mileage may vary on how deserved it is) against the LGB in general and drag queens in particular, and of course hundreds of thousands of mutilated people, mostly young adults, who might have detransitioned but still believe it should be everyone else's fault but theirs. And that more insidious theory that it's part of the authoritarian agenda, trying to force the populace to accept a Big Lie, because if they can make them say trans women are women and trans men are men, they can make them do anything.
Back to the first hand, sure, they're mostly ineffective, REEEEEEEEing in their little echo chambers and not having an idea about the real world. But that REEEEEEEing is combined with wokism, which permeates entertainment, media, and affects your browsing and shitposting; Lucas wasn't even a year ago, and though the ResetEra troons likely, at most, tweeted their hardest at CloudFlare and nothing else, they still had another good go at taking down the Farms.
And honestly, no matter how pathetic and shit they are, reading their words can be incredibly wearing. Just ingesting all that hatred, idiocy, smugness, misinformation, arrogance, emotional blackmail, toadying and basic, eye-rolling craziness - I know for me, it takes a toll. It's rare for me to read anything other than summaries of a ResetEra thread or of someone like Jake Alley, because it's a poison that can seep into your brain if you're not careful, even though it's being read for mockery.
Basically, prolonged exposure to a place like ResetEra has a tendency to promote the crime of noticing. But that noticing has a way of making the world more annoying at best, outright depressing at worst, for the individual who, once they've started, just can't stop.

Telling people what they want to hear is, sadly, very profitable, both in money and attention, and it takes a specific kind of terrible person to be good at it. For every troon or Andrew Tate type who has a thread here, there's a thousand copies who post the same shit but don't have that added extra that makes them worth paying attention to.
