I think for the most part they just prioritize doing what's considered "compassionate" as opposed to seriously considering the consequences of their political views. It's pure emotional naivety.

Whether you agree or disagree with the idea of allowing women to vote, or otherwise allowing them to have political power, it's overly simplistic to argue that women were denied that because people back then were meanie misogynists.

I've found that black women tend to split into two groups when it comes to troons: they vehemently reject them, especially when they try to piggyback with the civil rights rhetoric (equating segregation and lynching to not being allowed into women's only spaces) and the troon assertion that "because black women are considered women, we should be too!"
The other group actually buys into the "black women weren't considered "real" women either, so we support troons!" crap. Which is....so stupid and embarrassing. Because biologically, black women are women, always have been. What they have NOT been is historically fitting the Western beauty standard. So it kind of comes off as both troons and certain black women being mad that they are not being seen as attractive enough for straight (often white) men.
