AFAIK, once you reach a certain point in channel growth, you're pretty much forced to partner with an MCN. They're supposed to be operational support but in reality they all seem to do nothing but skim money off your paycheck just like a Union would. The fact these fuckers are skimming off 30%+ is 100% deserved and I'm fully in favor of these channels being gutted in their membership fees by these slimey pajeets. These Californian niggers are too dumb to read their contracts. Too retarded to hire a decent accountant. And too incompetent to do the slightest bit of research into their own damn industry.

That's not true anymore. The days where you need an MCN to even talk to YouTube are about 5+ years ago. YouTube doesn't like them and has basically made them obsolete. That's why they now hand out 100% revenue deals where they just take money off brand deals they find you.

Yeah that's what so jarring about all of this. I thought MCNs fell out of the mainstream well before the adpocalypse and the rise of the patreon and sponsor-funded youtubeer that came after. This raises the question of how long they've been with this MCN and why they were mute about having a huge corporation backing them when they were playing victim in their begging videos.

EDITing to avoid double post over a small matter but the H3 Podcast is not Patreon funded, or funded by any other kind of creation-funding site. They don't link to any of those sites anywhere on their youtube or twitter. So all of the revenue must come from livestream donations, merch sales, ads and sponsorships. Not saying that's going to be a small amount but two things are surprising:

1. There are people stupid enough to donate enough money to them knowingly to keep them afloat. If their primary revenue stream was patreon, it would be very possible for a lot of supporters to be people who donated once and forgot to stop the monthly subscription renewal.
2. That they actually built up a whole studio, hired employees and got into debt for a mansion over such an unstable and unpredictable revenue stream.

I'm sorry if I'm missing an obvious revenue stream that they had but if this was all they had, they were definitely walking on ice for a long time.

Imagine being an “ eat the rich” leftist while also being so personally wealthy that you can lose 600K without even noticing it at the time it happens. Even 10K would be a life changing amount for most working class Americans but this fat Jew still has the gall to pretend he’s on their side.
