People forget that China was considered a superpower due to nuclear weapons and military size right up until Russia collapsed and everyone in the government and media "forgot" that China existed.

Slight disagreement with this, it wasn't until the post Cold War era that talk of a Chinese superpower started in earnest. Up until then China was considered very much a regional power akin to India or Pakistan who could seriously screw with things, but not significantly impact global affairs by themselves. Now, however, they've jumped up the rankings thanks to free trade deals, increased supply chain linkages, and Russia falling off as the main enemy. Hell half the reason they're even considered a superpower these days is due to how many critical economic systems run through China and how thoroughly they could fuck over supposed Western technological supremacy (at least until NIMBY-ism and eco-terrorism is finally put into the grave it deserves).

But of course your typical neoconservative doesn't consider these things because that interferes with their delusions of liberal-communist grandeur.

Yep, I've realized it, and my theory is that it is being done intentionally because Biden and the entire DNC are compromised by Soros and I suspect by China as well. Problem is, like many other countries most of China's population is gonna skew real old real fast. Mouse-utopia-style death spirals seem like the endgame of modern society rather than anyone winning

It’s a perfectly reasonable play. The US government has been completely irrational in all of its dealings of late and they have no reason to think it’ll get better. On the right, without even getting into the Euro’s sneering contempt for it, you have pretty much complete impotence. On the left you have a faction that’s painted itself into an idiological corner they have no means of leaving, which guarantees increasingly unhinged actions for a long-ass time.

It's a similar situation here, but not yet as bad. Fertility rate is 1.65 vs 1.18 and our population peak is still a ways off at this rate. China's population has already reported a decline for the first time since the Great Leap Forward caused mass famine, but it's now largely due to people giving up on the future and not wanting to raise families in an overpriced dystopia. Its not like I think the US and most other Western nations haven't peaked and it's not all downhill from here, but China likely seems to be destined for the same if not worse

Two moribund super powers, playing pretend and trying to cling to power. Both are desperate to show strength and refuse to admit their obvious weakness. The difference is China censors their problems a lot more and have a culture of compliance that means it snaps instead of the slow collapse you see in the US.

That is why the EU is trying to grow into their own two feet, despite the fact they are about 30 years too late to start it is better late then never right? Never mind how they have similar issues with legitimacy and marxist subversive rot embedded in their shit. Russia might be the only ones actually ready for a collapse of the current world order, and Biden helped by kicking them out of SWIFT and forcing the building of a alternative for the CIS and BRICS.

Africa has some good things possibly in the future too. The collapse of western powers and China will mean no more gibs sure, but adversity lets the strong grow. Places like Nigeria has been developing quite well, as has Botswana is growing super fast and developing hard by taking people fleeing from South Africa and Zimbabwe to work there, Tanzania has been getting some good growth as well. Africa has just as many shitholes as it has growing nations trying to work themselves into the 21st century.

Times are bound to be very interesting.
