This is absolutely right. You can't drive around a Russian town today without seeing a lot more Ukrainian license plates than you could two years ago. Calling it a Ukrainian civil war that Russia is intervening in is a very accurate assessment. Russia stepped in primarily to protect the breakaway republics, who were being persecuted (and bombed) by the government (which to boot is illegitimate, installed by a US coup in the US-led Maidan""""protests"""") for daring to be born to Russian speakers in a country artificially created by the Soviet Union out of the old western borderlands of the Russian Empire. The republics had always sought annexation, because the example set by Pridnestrovia/Transnistria is not amazing for anyone involved, and if Ukraine had been willing to accept the secession of the cities they'd been bombing for years, that's all it would have been. At this point, the west pushing weapons into the Ukraine has left Russia with essentially no choice but to annex the east, which is Russian speaking and largely friendly, and letting NATO and the EU enjoy the privilege of trying to reign in the frothing retards in the west.

The Ukrainian national identity is so strapped for inspiration that they even claim that a Cossack army was a legitimate "Ukrainian State" for centuries in the aftermath of the Kievan Rus' western portions being annexed and resettled by Poles. But the Russian principalities paying tribute to the mongols, who otherwise allowed them independence, is to them enough to disqualify us from claiming to be the successors to the Kievan Rus'. It's the pinnacle of 19th century nationalist schizo attempts to rewrite history uncritically parroted by the whole woke west.

They were way overdue a census. It was said to be around 41 million but that was likely high. A UN estimate put it at 34 million at the start of this year.

Of course either way that includes the Eastern Ukranians who don't support the Zelensky govt. and never recognized the Poroshenko govt. that came in after the Western coup as legitimate.

Yes six million Ukrainian refugees are in Russia and Putin started buying Chinese stoves en masse for some reason according to experts

According to statistics for November last year, 2 million 800 thousand Ukrainian refugees were in Russia, while in Poland there are one million 500 thousand (remained) (about 8 million Ukrainians arrived in Poland as a transit country and soon left the country) and in Germany there were one million Ukrainians.

Even the big black cock media don't deny it, though they talk even bigger bullshit about unwilling refugees.

That's not what's going on here. Most people already knew and are just apathetic. A lot of people just cynically pretend inconvenient facts aren't true, but in the face of proof will say "well yeah obviously, but so what?".

I would argue people just don't know anything. As much as people get suckered into news bubbles of bias. People live in bubbles of basically no news. At my office we tend to eat in a communial area and people are educated. Yet the amount of current event topics that come up that it seems no one have even heard of is insane. It has been so bad as, "have you voted yet?" And the response is, "for what?" When there's an election happening.

The numbers for Western europe are inflated like hell... its a giant grift, ukrainians going to germany to get gibs, than returning to ukraine via bus.

Feels like disinformation to get Russia to defend the wrong places. But they're going to have to counterattack eventually. They can't just keep sending money with Ukraine not doing anything.

They're also probably trying to buy time so more armor arrives to get the Russians to not make any attacks and be on the defensive.

You can't really trust the leaks.

Ah, I don't know about men but I've heard second-hand accounts of women and their kids going, collecting money and returning to Ukraine. I wouldn't be surprised if some men also did this though if they have any sense, they'll be avoiding going back now.

yes, those stay in europe because they fear the draft, but they send their families with small childrend and their elderly back home.

there are daily bus routes from western europe to the battle zone, i can book a bus trip to kherson right now, and there are 2 busses a day from only one of the many eastern european bus companies i checked.

Sounds awesome. I'm glad about every current thing topic that gets overlooked at work. Having to hide your powerlevel constantly does take its toll. There's no politics talk except maybe in the smoker circle but that's basically "the dudes". But even then you can't just blurt out certain things.

You are correct, and that's because there's a sizeable proportion of people who more closely identify with Russia than globohomo. The pre 2014 electoral maps show all you need to see really.

Kinda sad that people were looking forward to refugees coming over so they could get laid. Jokes on them, Ukranian women have a survival instinct and can bleed a man white without putting out...


Edit: just heard from a friend of mine. She just gave birth to her third child which means her husband can now leave the country without fear of being conscripted. That's one way to get around the draft. Congrats to her!
