I can't quote but... correct me if I'm dumb, but that article that has Al screeching about "they're making murdering protesters legal!" specifically says the new law gives civil immunity to people who hit protesters with their cars, right? Not legal immunity? So like... assuming that's true (I'm too lazy to actually look up the law tbh) it very clearly doesn't make it legal to murder someone with your car, it just makes it so the victim can't sue you for doing it. So the change to the law is basically going "if you're blocking a highway by standing in the middle of the road and praying all the cars stop for you, you're taking your chances if one doesn't and you don't get to sue for that"? Which isn't great but it's not making it legal or encouraged to hit people with cars.

I think we agree more than disagree, my contention was more than they aren't smart enough to operate as they believe they can and how they believe others do. I think Tony and Alex think they're smart enough to do this because they've done enough to get a Masters and J.D. respectively, they're always wording their tweets very specifically to manipulate but they aren't smart enough, or perhaps alternatively humble enough, to ever bother to understand actual counterarguments rather than merely counterclaims.

Watching a hulking troon body slam some slip of a girl during a soccer match is the perfect visual depiction of unfairness. Even people who hate sports or don't know about trans rights have a visceral reaction to things like this and can see how wrong, dangerous, and stupid it all is.

TRAs have some awareness of this and some try to mitigate it by focusing on no contact sports like swimming, cycling, and track. It's not going to be enough though because fairness is a powerful, fundamental concept. Look at how important it is to childhood development and the way little kids instinctively understand and fixate on it. As you say, TRAs may be able to confuse or intimidate average people with regard to medical evidence, but not sports-- it's too obvious and too unfair.
