The German people don't want this war
There have been polls that indicate most Germans are opposed to the funding and support for the Ukraine, for various reasons. It's not popular, and the continued American presence in Germany has never been popular. It's been an occupied nation since 1945 and while I understand why that is so (as do most Germans), I also understand why they'd prefer we leave. The owner of this particular restaurant previously made headlines for his particularly vehement opposition to covid lockdowns. I suppose what didn't help was the slow leak that the USA was responsible for bombing the natural gas line that was vital for heating their homes. There have been polls that indicate most Germans are opposed to the funding and support for the Ukraine, for various reasons. Putting out there that it may have been the daring and resourceful Ukrainians who blew it up didn't exactly endear them to Germans either.I suppose what didn't help was the slow leak that the USA was responsible for bombing the natural gas line that was vital for heating their homes.
I’ve spent a lot of time in Germany, and this is not the impression I’ve gotten. They immerse themselves fully in yank culture at every turn, and as an Eastern European the warm treatment they initially start out with inevitably carries undertones of “look how much better we are than you savages”. If you want to keep your German friends, don’t let slip that you actually like your fatherland, once they realise you don’t idolise Germany and the German way they turn chilly very quickly. They’re not quite as bad about this as Swedes or the English, but it’s unmistakably a part of the national spirit in a way it isn’t for other West Europeans like the Dutch, French, and Italians. There have been polls that indicate most Germans are opposed to the funding and support for the Ukraine, for various reasons. Haven't they always been this way though?the warm treatment they initially start out with inevitably carries undertones of “look how much better we are than you savages”. How much of Germany have you interacted with? It's likely that impressions vary from region to region or rural areas to urban areas. And didn't Germany ban wrong think after WWII so they can't even acknowledge dissident ideas no matter how true?I’ve spent a lot of time in Germany, and this is not the impression I’ve gotten. It probably used to be. Today I’m not so sure. My Russian-accented German did attract some attention from grandmas, but no more than obvious foreigners normally do. The big difference I suspect is that speaking Russian to my travel companions could possibly be overheard and understood in the east, but almost definitely wouldn’t be in the west, so you’ll subconsciously make fewer catty comments about the locals. Their Russian is usually really poor though, they can do little more than say прямо, направо, and налево (onwards, right, left). Russian was a mandatory second language in school, but you can tell they never used it. Their English is usually a lot better (though still garbage by my standards), which I think explains how they feel about things considering that one wasn’t even mandatory. Is it different if you're in what used to beBestEast Germany?
Middle class and above urban professionals. I’ve been to Berlin, Karl-Marx Stadt, Leipzig, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Köln. Scholars, engineers, and engineering-adjacent people. Of those I’ve only spent more than a few days in Berlin, Hamburg, and Köln. The rural areas I’ve essentially only driven through to get to the cities. How much of Germany have you interacted with? Germany "reunified" the wrong way 'round. It probably used to be. Today I’m not so sure. It's not the bait it's their POG tier understanding of weaponry that's hilarious, like his sperging over the AK-12 being the M4 equivalent but too precious to hand to mobiks so they hoard it because its expensive (it really isn't) or something. New recruits get the AK74M because they're inexperienced, more seasoned soldiers get the AK12 according to someone who was actually in the Russian armed forces. That thread is more comedy gold than anything else.lol you are seething over bait.
It was more the suggestion that anything being alleged in the Elbonia-simping threads was anywhere within a parsec of truthful, let alone an "unassailable fortress" of "truth".It's not the bait...
What I meant was that anyone saying "unassailable fortress of truth" is baiting people. Because no one outside of discord jannies, trannies or lolcows speaks like that in a online forum. It was more the suggestion that anything being alleged in the Elbonia-simping threads was anywhere within a parsec of truthful, let alone an "unassailable fortress" of "truth".
It's interesting that this attack on churches happens now that western gibs are coming in. I'm no expert on Ukie Churchs, but I'm assuming they are fairly conservative institutions and obviously an enemy of globohomo now. Guess it helps that Zelesnky's government can dress it up as patriotism because obviously these churches are full of Russian spies. I'm sure none of these churches would be looted of valuables that fall into the hands of local and national allies of the government.Z-man says the Ukrainian Orthodox are too Russian so they have gotta go, and true and honest holhols must worship at the new and improved patriotic Ykrainian Orthodox Basilica. To ensure compliance theHitler YouthBandera Youth are sent to terrorize old people:

This one really upsets me though. These are elderly women. Abusing them is nigger behavior.

They are chanting "Baggage-Train Station-Russia" at these elderly women who just want to go to their church. I wonder how long before these Ukroniggers shove them into cattle cars towards acamp, sorry, I meant the Moskal Retirement facility for elderly katsap loving Ukrainians, and how the US media will spin it after decades of shoving Holocaust media down out throats for decades.

Least delusional hohol recount of history. The Poles Lechian Empire is more believable than this.
I would like to say I'm surprised there hasn't been a coup from these soldiers seeing what bullshit is happening, but I think everyone should know by not even the most conservative elements of police and military forces obey whoever is paying them. I'm sure they are ticked off but deluded into thinking that it will all be fine, and that this sudden flood of western gibs isn't directly tied to how pozzed Z-man makes 'his' country. It's an interesting contradiction. At the same time Neo-Nazis are fighting at the front.
