Almost all of the lineup is people who peaked a half decade or more ago. Harley peaked with epic meal time in the early 2010s, Arin Hanson peaked a decade ago with Game Grumps, Nathan Barnett's (Dad) went viral with his dancing videos nearly a decade ago then faded into obscurity, Froggy Fresh was popular for his rapping 7 to 8 years ago and Chris Ray gun's top videos are ALL anti-SJW videos from 6-7 years ago while his recent videos barely break 150k views.
The funny thing is you can say that about Ian was one of the most popular users for about 5-6 years and is a shell of his former self people care because of his husband wife Anisa.

Now, I'm not sure how similar musical tickets are to boxing tickets, but seeing an off-broadway showing of a mildly popular musical set me back $120 a ticket for the nosebleeds.
I bought 2 tickets a few day ago and the total (with fees) was under 100$

Only going because I’m going to a youtuber pregaming thing before hand lol, I actually forgot it was this weekend. Tons of seats left,

only wanna say that bc I don’t care about the event, im not going for the actual event I’m going just for other people who will be there. i know nobody who’s excited about the line up and wants to go for the actual event, everyone just cares about getting drunk imo

It's at 1700 Eastern Time. Probably going to do rather poorly because not half an hour later, there is a pretty stacked UFC card on in Kansas being aired. Can go watch a bunch of sweaty fat influencers fight, or top pro fighters.
You're assuming an overlap of interest that doesn't exist. No one paying to watch Creator Clash cares about UFC fights. No one who watches UFC will be interested in Creator Clash.

Mega64 had Jirard the completionist on their last podcast and since they're doing a comedy show a day before in Tampa, the topic came up.
Turns out they were in a similar situation as the last minute negro last year, with only 3 weeks left, but they declined for obvious reasons. They don't mention the Froggy situation because I think this was prerecorded before any of that took place.
It's very funny hearing Jirard talking about how he was declined to fight because he actually wanted to fight someone (jontron?) he had beef with lol, another L for iCuckz

Also they know Nathan B, and there's another psychopath story of him in the clip
Podcast with timecode
It's gotta be JonTron. I never followed Jirard closely but I know all the Normal Boots guys immediately threw Jon under the bus after the whole Destiny incident. Holy fucking shit, this is actually mind-boggling. We could've had an ACTUAL GOOD FIGHT with lore behind it which would absolutely fill out seats but they said NO? I guess my previous assessment of them just desperately scraping the bottom of the barrel for anyone willing was wrong. The fights are not completely random and uninteresting because they can't get anybody else-- it's by design and they're legitimately retarded. Good to know.

"The beefs aren't real"? Yeah except when the organisers passive-aggressively seethe on stream LOL. Sooo much better than just having people juke it out in the ring.

Also very interesting to know that the "boxing purists" that give their fighters plenty of time to train were willing to get more people in just 3 weeks before the event as far back as Creator Clash 1 (and what for even? They didn't have anybody drop out then aside from a certain boxing and kinesiology expert with 800 concussions)-- so the Last Minute Negroᵗᵐ (LMN for short) isn't just the product of an unforeseen blunder, it's also that they're willing to go against their mission statement whenever.

It's gotta be JonTron.
I doubt that, as they seem to be on more friendly terms since the wedding thing, and Jon’s grown out of that scene entirely and is effectively too known a name to be involved with something like this sort of low-level shit. While not exactly a creator anymore, Greg, his original partner that he had a really weird “divorce” with, is probably who he means.

Jon and Arin, on the other hand, THAT would be a thing I would genuinely pay to see IRL. Actual history there.

Was it ever pointed out Idubbbz himself made an Onlyfans joke very similar to FroggyFresh's?

It's bizarre that they don't want real beef seeing how negative feeling about your opponent can make you train all the harder. 2 fat gamer autists are willing to lose weight to beat (Jontron?) up is truly a motivational and marketable pull, if it is to be believed.

I think the person he wanted to fight was his ex-collaborator.

When he left he demanded over a 100+ videos to be taken down and Jirard had to remake them.

Not to get too off topic but that's an interesting take, Jared really was transparent about the separation and how uncomfortable it was for his growth on YouTube. So that's just as plausible if not more. but thanks to ICuckz it's not happening.

At least you can sleep knowing that you're funding Anisa's future phalloplasty.

I think after a few years everyone was starting to forget the Destiny thing but unfortunately Jon had to be based again and made some comment about Fauci murdering puppies which I think collapsed a bunch of bridges that were just starting to be rebuilt again. I think it could be either of them, but we'll never know now.

Legit, if @Beanmeboi is gonna power level like that we better be getting some ground floor footage of the cringe. Maybe we get to see security kicking out MDE fans lol.

NBC wrote an article about CC2, which quotes and was retweeted by Harley Morenstein, who happens to be Jewish. I wonder what their connection is, this seems like small beans for NBC. It talks about how they aim to "de-emphasize online drama". They also refer to Mr. Johma repeatedly. Froggy is called an A-log in the final paragraphs.

Harley Morenstein is an eater, not a fighter.
The co-creator of the YouTube food channel Epic Meal Time, he’s known for cooking bacon-wrapped meals and other ostentatious eats. But this Saturday, he’ll step into a boxing ring to square off against professional wrestler John Hennigan, one of 12 bouts that will make up Creator Clash 2.

Last year’s event — something of a surprise success — sold out the 10,000-seat Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, drew more than 100,000 pay-per-view buyers and raised $1.3 million for the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association and Healing Horse Therapy Center. The YouTube video of the full event has accrued more than 3.3 million views.
The event brings unlikely internet celebrities together to do something unexpected. It’s like a concert crossed with “Dancing With the Stars,” if the stars were all punching each other in the face.

“When I was there, I thought the vibe was way more similar to a VidCon or a fan meetup,” Morenstein said of the event’s first year (VidCon is the year’s biggest in-person event for internet content creators). “People came with their merchandise already. They are fans of certain fighters. They wanted to watch one person on the card. They didn’t care who they were fighting.”

It’ll be Morenstein’s second bout. Last year, he emerged victorious against his friend Arin Hanson of the gaming YouTube channel Game Grumps in a match that surprised even him.

“I had his little blood stain on my glove,” Morenstein said. “And he was fine, but I was still like, ‘Oh, my god, he was supposed to go to Busch Gardens today. He’s got a bloody nose and like, what am I doing here?’”

Live events have been a staple of internet creator culture dating back to early fan meetups. Conventions like VidCon and Playlist Live have given fans the opportunity to interact with their favorite content creators for over a decade. But in recent years, influencers have begun to create their own live events tailored to their communities, including tours, award shows and even their own conventions, to varying degrees of success.

Meanwhile, boxing emerged more recently as a popular way for internet creators to settle beefs, attract attention and fire up their most fervent fans. Beginning with the fight between YouTubers Olajide Olatunji (better known as KSI) and Joe Weller in 2018, established creators have increasingly pivoted to boxing after finding the sport to be a lucrative opportunity. Much of the hype around influencer matches, like most boxing events, is predicated on showboating, betting and trash talking.

Creator Clash hardly has any of that. Instead, it aims to be different by de-emphasizing online drama and big payouts, said Ian Jomha, one of the event’s co-founders, who will also jump in the ring on Saturday.

Jomha said that the sport of boxing itself has enough drama to focus on and that the main goals of Creator Clash are to “entertain and raise money for charity.” This year, the event is bigger, with three additional fights, more commentators, 15 charity partners and a venue that’s double the size (Tampa's Amalie Arena).

“I think the wider the variety of creators that you get, the more interesting it’s going to be and the more curiosity you’re going to have,” Jomha, who is known for his audacious YouTube reaction channel iDubbbz, said. “For me, that’s always been the appeal.”

The event also capitalizes on the pivot toward niche communities in the creator space. In recent years, it has become increasingly important for creators’ longevity to cultivate a core fanbase rather than appeal to a general audience. Niches produce stronger, more engaged fans that will, for instance, follow a person into a boxing arena and show their support.

In addition to the charity aspect, several fighters told NBC News that the event allowed them to try something new, meet other influencers and get out of their comfort zones. Influencers and fans have praised Creator Clash for the positive energy, collaboration and good sportsmanship around the event.

Amanda Golka, a YouTuber who reviews influencer events for her channel Swell Entertainment, attended last year’s Creator Clash as a spectator. Golka was pleasantly surprised, but said that this year is a “really big test” for Creator Clash’s longevity.

“The novelty as a whole for YouTube events and creator events, doing sports and things like that, the sentiment I’m seeing online from the general public of people who just watch YouTube, whether they’re fans of these people or not, a lot of people are getting sick of these events,” she said. “They’re like, ‘Why can’t you just make content? What do you mean you guys are getting into boxing? Like what are you doing?’”

Jomha knows the pressure is on.

“It feels like it’s the first time we’re doing it, just having to do it again,” he said. “Because you got to at least match what you did last time, but you also have to do more.”

With higher expectations and more eyes on the event, it is perhaps unsurprising that the organizers have run into some drama in the weeks before fight time. Less than a month before the event, it was announced that YouTube rapper Tyler Cassidy, or Froggy Fresh, had been dropped from the lineup and would be replaced.

The backlash that ensued took over (Oh wow, it's literally just a youtube search for Creator Clash 2) the conversation around Creator Clash and threatened its success, as some Cassidy fans vowed to boycott the event and demanded refunds.

However, Jomha felt the event would thrive in spite of the outrage.

“Our whole objective is to keep it obviously drama free and positive, and that’s the goal,” Jomha said. “And we got to focus on, you know, our fights, because we’ve all been working hard.”
Highlight/tl;dr - Jomha, who is known for his audacious YouTube reaction channel iDubbbz, said.

I wish.
Jontron/Internet Historian/Sam Hyde vs Jirard/Big Red/Idubbbz for the CC World heavyweight triple tag team crown.

Shit is dimes and would sell out the MGM out of sheer autism.
tag team wrestling, but not fake, would be incredible. i would pay to see crydubbbz take a piledriver.

Checked the CC Twitter again. They have retweeted pretty much EVERYBODY as early as 3 hours ago but not a peep about William Haynes rofl.
HOWEVER, the official website has finally been updated and we have official height and weight (and ✨Zodiac✨!1!!!!11!):
Screenshot_92.png
Is 15 pounds a big difference? I still really wanna believe that Last Minute Negro can pummel pretty boy Raygun before the first round is over, the height advantage should be plenty right? RayGun hasn't said a peep about CC2. Even Arin Hanson seems to be more hyped for the event than he is. Sure it could be to avoid backlash, but I like to think that he really can't be bothered and barely even trained and just wants to do Anisa a solid (or just do Anisa).
They are also advertising tickets still so I went to check. Pretty much ALL of the cheapest seats are still available. I can't wait for the pics of the desolate stadium this Saturday.

Well that's some bullshit, and also ironic, given that "Mr. Jomha" has done the exact opposite of this.
I also really like how they refer to Mr. Jomha as "one of the event's co-creators." Greasy won't even let him take credit. :story:
