Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Nothing that hasn't been said before, but saying "SA" for sexual assault is so stupid and produces such retarded results

"His sister had also suffered horrible essay from an elderly man"

What, did it have bad grammar? It didn't explain its points properly?
To be fair, essays are a bitch, especially the research kind.

RANT ALERT!: When did YouTube start this garbage where you can get demonetize or flagged just because you mentioned those words even in the correct context.

Don't want to sperg out here but I personally blame Jake Paul, PewDiePie (well not so much him) and probably the whole Elsagate controversy that happened a few years ago for why the site went with this "TOS" policy.

I don't get it how come some YouTubers have to censor the living fuck out of their videos and some others include all words uncut and have just about or even more views than the ones that go through all the trouble just to keep their video up.

I see this a lot in videos that have sponsors as if shilling a predatory free to play game where you literally kill others is no better than reading an article about the Cambodian massacre in excruciating detail word for word.

I immediately unsub from any YouTuber that goes down this road with minor exceptions. These people could bring so much new traffic to Rumble or Odysse just by uploading exclusive content there and still get paid with what limited ad revenue they got better than nothing. What the real problem is is because YouTube has made it all too convenient and user friendly to cause any of these Stockholm syndrome true crime channels to migrate their content over there.

Either that or they're the most smooth brain double digit IQ retards on the fucking planet even back in the early days when you had blippi TV there were people that were telling their fans and viewers to watch them on there while having a trailer video to redirect traffic to the other site.

Sure you can always go to patreon but I'm not going to throw one red cent at their name just because they throw a fit just because a video hosting site doesn't like them to talk about that kind of subject matter unless it's more censored than an episode of Jerry Springer on daytime syndicated TV (fuck even that show gets away with a whole lot more and it's literally the definition of trash TV).

I hate to keep ranting and repeat myself every time this keeps happening but it's the fucking truth and the answers are all right in front of them but they are too stubborn to make any risky changes. I guess that's what happens when you want to fight the patriarchy by whoring out to the internet instead of living in the real world and being a wage cuck for some fast food establishment or a big box store S-Mart (BTW SHOP SMART, SHOP S-MART!)

TLDR: we need to do better to convince these horror crime goyum to find greener pastures to perfect their personal craft unmettled and free of corporate overlord censorship by a bunch of blue stars at the top. There I'm done.

This guy did some of the best (and most brutal) content on the site. Very dry and not sensationalized, just horrible realities that are usually swept under the rug. Youtube has buttfucked him from day one, and I'm pretty sure researching the stories takes their toll on him too. Hasn't posted in over a year.

The problem isn't the channels, it's the viewers. You, personally, might be willing to regularly migrate to a different platform just to watch someone's videos you really like, but the very vast majority of youtube users are not like this. Even if you have followers in the multi-millions, you will only get a few who will follow you over and stay there. You'll get an initial huge influx, then the trickle off will happen as users forget because you aren't popping up as an alert in their most used site. Just look at what happened with streamers like Ninja (and many others who left for "greener" pastures.) Guess how many are now back to streaming on Twitch. Every single one.

I unsubscribed to nearly everyone who shilled that absolutely fucking stupid hunt a killer shit.

This just proves that the whole thing was a fluke.

First episode was good, had great hooks and some unique stuff. Now it's gone.

Oh sorry, I meant, fr demons finna get some o dat rizz Gabriel B straight up no cap
LMFAO I literally just watched the entirety of this series through MatPat on his Flim Theorist Channel one day out of boredom. Much easier that way tbh.

Please especially Dreading. He used to make great videos compare his Ian Watkins or Subway Jared vid to what he’s doing now it’s pathetic.
Dreading is one of the worst in my opinion. He doesn't just upload raw interrogation footage (which themselves are almost always fucking boring and have shit audio), he actively has to go on a long rant to explain why murder bad. Not to mention how he feels the need to sperg out politically for certain topics.

No, retard, I don't need to you to tell me that killing others and having zero remorse is a bad thing. Any normal person would understand that intuitively just by finding out what these murderers did. It is honestly my belief that all these 'true crime' content creators are people with absolutely zero human empathy and are just trying to feign concern to cover their absolute glee at learning about this shit.

Kinda an off topic rant here but I really miss when this sector of the internet was much smaller and had more of an audience of nerds and /x/ types. Old school Mutahar was the shit, I really miss his deep web browsing, Haunted Gaming, and playthroughs of creepy/weird games he came across. His videos where he read trollpastas with his friends are some of my favorite content ever produced on the internet.

If anything Muta is somewhat of a Daddy Jim type figure on this side of the internet, and a lot of it's current problems can be traced back to him, as well a lot of the other creators he has collaborated with that got big with him (Nexpo, Scaretheater, Reignbot, etc.) While a lot of the content they did like 4-6 years ago, such as their coverage of Blank Room Soup, was awesome, I feel like when they started covering explicit ARGs the content not only got stale real quick but it set a horrible trend that a fuck ton of people with little talent jumped on, which is why the sector is currently suffering from an oversaturation of boring content and mediocre creators

As I've stated in a previous post, the audience as well has transformed and for the worst. A lot of the ogs in this sector, as I said, were usually either tech/gaming nerds and/or /x/ denizens. Back then the content and creators were far more edgy, Mutahar for example read trollpastas like Hitler.exe and A Meeting With Al-Qaeda, as well as others which had similar edgy humor and jokes. There was also a lot of laughing at furries and gender special types, mainly for the shitty OC Jeff the killer creepypastas they would write. Ever since ARGs and the like became the big thing, the sector has had a big influx of redditors, Tumblrites who are creepily obsessed with serial killers, and Twitter troons, so the content has gotten much less edgy and entertaining and more limp dicked and PC.

But yeah, I really miss the old days of just laughing at shitty creepypastas on the internet with my fellow dweebs.

It's dogshit. I tried listening to one episode and quit before finishing.

That Chapter format is alright in video form, but in audio only his shitty sense of humour is ramped up to 11 and just doesn't translate well when you don't see his face and visual inserts.

Conversely, Mr Ballen is very easy on the ears as a podcast because it's straight to the point storytelling.
I like TC because he will say the no-no words and not sound like he's reading a script. I don't fault the weird shocked face thing in the thumbnails because for me it helps identify the channel when I look at the home youtube page, and it doesn't affect the video itself. I don't listen to podcasts so I have no opinion. I also like mr ballen, even though he doesn't usually add anything visually helpful (*picture of a similar pile of metal*).

Dark Curiosities is ok, but the monotone ending every sentence with the vocal fry is hard to get past. It's similar to Disturban's cadence, which is acceptable but could be better.

On the flip side of the conversation about interrogation analysis, there is EWU. I get that they treat each interrogation as if no one has ever watched the channel before, but there is an excess of "he put his hand on his mouth, which could mean he's lying, or stressed, or not."

Fuck off, playlists exist for a reason.

All this does is give false hope of new content and clogs the sub feed.

Such obvious fishing for watch time.🙄
Why you shouldn't represent yourself:
You don't know the ins and outs of the legal system and you wont be able to defend yourself well and you'll be much more likely to be found guilty.
There, 8 hours into one sentence. The court appointed lawyer is literally free only a retard would choose to represent themselves.

I really like EWU's videos - they're probably the best JCS substitute there could ever be - but yeah, I'm really sick and tired of having to hear that "polygraph test results are not admissible in court," "it's always a good idea to talk to an attorney when questioned by the police," "the Reid technique is...," "Miranda rights are...," "investigators look for clusters of signs," blah blah blah, in every single video.

I get that they keep re-explaining stuff in every single video just for newcomers to the channel, but come on, the majority of viewers - even those new to EWU - are already into true crime stuff and most likely already know of police procedures. It gets old really fast.

Some of their older videos are great and pick up on little cases most people have never heard of- one actually took me by surprise from a small city I lived in years ago and it was a little surreal to see it talked about, but sometimes the bizarre phrasing and little quirks like what you mentioned in their videos put me off a bit. Still like them well enough though. Lutch Green is in a similar bracket of occasional binge content to me. I can't say I've ever been like "Oh boy oh boy new EWU I can't wait!" when they upload, but I've definitely spent a few afternoons doing housework and letting their playlists run.

Mandela Catalogue "restored edition" just dropped.
I'm a little late to this as I kinda fell off the bandwagon, but did he really remove the spooky faces, and the fact that alternates manipulate you into killing yourself, which is the only thing people remember about this series? (And also seemingly the only way alternates kill people. What, do they just beat you up now?)
How do you make it big with analogue horror of all things and blow it immediately?

So is this the time where you tube's new Pajeet CEO will absolutely run the website to ground like Susan W, thus forcing people to head over to another platform?

Do you guys have any recommendations for (i dunno how to phrase it) but the greatest videos on stories that have a lot of videos about them in varying quality and accuracy?
Like, what do you feel is the greatest and most compelling video explaining shit like Dyatlov Pass or The Toxic Lady and other stories that have over a decade of videos by YouTube channels from before and after new findings are made
