I love the way the glasses are shoved down the raptorlike beak in order to display the bulging bug eyes to best effect. The photographer seems to be having a quite a bit of fun at Flynt/Wu's expense -- intentionally posing him to look unattractive while standing amid shelves covered in filth. Good job.

In the sense that her official narrative includes tales of growing up as a girl in Mississippi and in the sense that the narrative also includes tales of her lifelong persecution as a woman, I think I have to disagree that she's "not in the closet about being tranny in any [emphasis added] sense."

I think she 100% prefers it if people think she's a natural born woman, because it props up her personal mythology. However, she seems increasingly happy to use the fact that it's pretty much an open secret that she's a tranny to her advantage when competing in the oppression olympics. Keep in mind her narrative has changed in the past year, she used to be vocal about being a genuine woman and her faux upbringing etc and these days she brings up trans issues so often you'd have to be pretty dense not to connect the dots.

Except she regularly falls far short on that. Her jab at Amanda with the twitter business would have been exceptionally even among shitty people. If you have some evidence that this is openly acknowledged by wu's social circle or something I'd reconsider my position but from where I stand her identity as a natural woman is not that different from her identity as an activist and award winning game developer.
