Because at the end of the day a news cycle is a news cycle - nothing is a "hot button" issue forever.

Transgenders have for your average normie - gotten boring. It's the same tired arguments, the same memes, the same everything - so the news cycle is starting to move on and to keep the spotlight on them, they now have to adopt more antics. It's the same thing that happens when a child is throwing a tantrum and you just ignore the tantrum.

I don't understand this weird worship they have for Captain Marvel. I am not a Marvel fan in general but that character is just poorly written. She's the strongest girlboss ever right from the start, but is conveniently "busy" while the big bad erases half of the people in existence, only to show up at the last minute to essentially killsteal him at the last minute.

It's also shit what they did to Ms Marvel, whose powers bordered on body horror in the comics and would have been actually interesting to see from a young female lead. Instead they totally changed her powers because "it's too hard to make her stretchy" even though Mr. Fantastic has existed in movies since forever, though I'm sure it also had to do with her powers being "too weird" for a character they want to push as a new face of the MCU.
