"Current year" terms that piss you off

"For existing", as in "arrested just for existing", "we honour our trans siblings that we have tragically lost just for existing as their true selves", "the ongoing issues the trans community face, repeatedly, just for existing", "we are currently facing a wave of forces that wants to dehumanize and criminalize us—just for existing" (copied from a bunch of articles).

The false narrative that trannies are innocent creatures that are persecuted for no reason

Anyone who uses the word “community” for liking a form of media/music/etc. you can enjoy a musical genre without having to form a community. You can like video games/anime/table top games without having a “community”. I think people without a sense of identity tends to cling on to something to make themselves feel whole. I’ve met people who say “Dood, I’m apart of the ‘anime community’”. And they really don’t watch anime. They just want to seem interesting to others.

I noticed that too. "Community" is often confused with "common trait", or maybe it's the wannabe communists who are SJWs using collectivist speech as much as possible because they're so hiveminded, or maybe it's overused because real community is lacking in modern urban "society" (as the modern world goes more and more cybernetic)?

I honestly just see it as someone without self confidence and self worth. Just a wannabe who want to hop into something for attention.

Recently heard in the wild: "They were pregnant". Idk if it was for the habit of trying to obfuscate the sex/gender of a stranger the person was talking about, if referring to the couple (I hate that too, only, one was pregnant, and I am willing to bet it was a she), or what. However it did make me cringe. Just say she.

Maybe not fully "current year", but all retarded American abbreviations that seem like baby talk, when used in a normal context - "pj" instead of pajamas/pyjama is an example. Want to know why the country is getting more and more retarded? This is why.

I hate the term "pipeline" as used in political terms. Yes, Timmy listening to edgy jokes is clearly a "pipeline" to shooting up a synagogue, and it's clearly being disciplined is school is why Daquan commits those horrid crimes that got him imprisoned. Claiming that people do this because of a "pipeline" is a shitty excuse to try to crush people you don't like under the auspices that it's a prelude to worse (the "alt-right pipeline") or to deflect blame for individual failings by claiming it is really the fault of society (the "school-to-prison pipeline")

I have no idea what that even means.

And I have looked up the definition. I still don't get it.
It's supposed to be like long drawn out masturbation, to a point of worship almost, usually focused around one specific person. Sometimes you'll see one of these people say something like "I'm going to goon for [pornstar] or [celebrity]." It's not quite femdom stuff, but it's adjacent. What it is for sure though, is that it's extremely cringeworthy.

I'd always presumed this shit was ironic except no nothing can be ironic or just a jape. No they have to take it to the highest degree possible and make it insanity. Motherfuckers are so boring and one note they didn't think the term 'coomer' was adequate.

My father has been telling me it was taken off YouTube because of the usage of the word "Faggot" which many don't seem to realize in the context of lyrics is said by a gay guy who is jealous of another gay guy.
As you said, the lyrics are describe a gay guy jealous of a gay celeb who gets paid for what's perceived to be little to no effort while having groupies dripping off of him like it's no big deal. It's not like the slur is being used gratuitously for no reason
The faggot lyrics are still there in the official version:
Archive of relevant clip:

I don't know where you're getting the idea that the viewpoint character of the song is gay. Mark Knopfler based it on a guy he saw unloading boxes for an electronics store, who then started watching the TVs in the store tuned to MTV. He's using faggot as an insult because he thought the guy in the video looked like a faggot, but he was envious of the faggot's easy life being a famous pop star instead of moving refrigerators.
I don't think it's a big deal to use faggot as an insult. Telling everybody how much a word upsets you is the opposite of what you should do if you don't want to get your feelings hurt by someone saying it. Nobody cares if you say "sod" or "bugger" any more, they're neutral terms that can be applied to anyone. Faggots could have had this with the word faggot, but then they tarded out like niggers.
