SD cards, really Sam? You've spent all this money on the project and you didn't even have the cameras linking back to a local NVR as a backup? I really hope that they're not doing something retarded like using the google cloud to pipe the footage from a wireless camera to the stream...

They have the money, Mr. Goldstriker tweeted about paying for it. I guess the trouble is the timing, it went down right after business hours on a Thursday, and it might take 1-2 business days after the payment goes through for the services to return to full service

he WAS using his phone to stream his laptop screen, claiming he, "doesnt know much about computers"....

He was even more optimistic than that. In this part of the basement stream where he's calm and collected he says "the bill for hosting the video and the chat and the website is probably gonna be another thirty thousand by the end of the six weeks." He thought it was going to be $30k for the whole 42 days, meanwhile it was actually $30k for only 3 days.

He also says he thinks it's not "too far-fetched" for someone to pay eight million dollars to buy the show from him. It is now that the whole operation fell apart, I can tell you that much.

Imagine if on Survivor Season 1 you had 15 unknowns…and Charlie Sheen. That could be entertaining, but it would also become The Charlie Sheen Show.

That specific line of thought come from lolcow.farms. A user speculated that Nick might be a rapist/wife beater considering his past (evil jock) and other users immediately agreed and said they wouldn't be surprised.
