The source for this is her DEEP DIVE: CHIKA IDOLS stream wherein she sperged about Trigun during the start (begins around the 10 minute mark).

Before joining the vtuber scene yes. Also they don't need to know that she's a vtuber, since generally speaking these artists hired by chinese gacha games tend to be just... hired once or twice and not like, fully embedded into the company as a whole. To their eyes, they're just artist that can be contacted and is okay with working with their company for a bit so they can get art or whatever. At the very least the backlash is completely arbitary and not unlike Coco's case, which was big enough that every chinese company is willing to persona no grata her even when she's no longer Coco.

China is a big place, yes, but they have their terminally online sub-population as well, and you massively underestimate that population's obsession with Coco. Her self-owned persona (Kson) has lost at least one deal with another company after the company bent to Chink butthurt. She also auditioned for a part in the Yakuza 8 game this year, and when a Chinese gaming news org did a segment on the audition, they censored her out. (She has voluntarily shown her face on Kson media before, so the censorship is not due to Vtuber kayfabe or privacy concerns.) I think that news segment has been posted here before but I can't find the post.

There's no hard proof that any Chinks went after Sana's gacha gig, but keep in mind they are this petty, and this is the reach they have over their entertainment sector.

I don't know why youtube has screwed up their Share function on desktop. They added in the "feature=share" bullshit a few weeks ago and makes embedding impossible the way the site's set up. If you manually remove that the embed works fine. You have to do the same if you want to time stamp it. The easiest way that I can figure how to do it with out jacking up the web address is to copy the link youtube's share gives you, open up a new tab, paste it in the address bar and hit enter. It'll bring up the video properly timestamped and the address will correct itself.

Not to be a disgusting simp on main, but Luxiem getting their outfits announced and dropped within 24 hours makes me very, very happy. I'm sure there's a merch reason, but I have long since accepted that Anycolor is after my wallet.

My hako-oshi made it to 2.0s! My kamioshi is getting new duds! It's such a silly thing, but I can't stop smiling at it!

Shibuya Hal entrusted Niu to Astel's care. A new duo was born. My prediction is that once they had their fill teasing each other, they will go forth and terrorise a lot of JP vtubers.

Talking about Astel, La+ met her living nightmare in the big Rust collab after VSaikyo.

It's not a random company, it's a company in a market whose users and producers have strong overlap with the vtuber-watching parts of China.

For perspective, ASUS, a Taiwanese company with branches in JP and the mainland, had to cancel a collaboration between their JP branch and Botan, Fubuki, and Okayu because the mainland branch went Total Retard War over the prospect of another branch of the company being associated with the hated enemy of the state known as Hololive. The Chinese publisher for Muse Dash (not the devs) revoked permissions for the game for Hololive as well.

That's because it's the new /live/ URL. The format of those is https://www.youtube.com/live/VIDEO_ID while the original, detected format is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID.
The BBcode used for embed is [MEDIA=youtube]VIDEO_ID[/MEDIA] and you don't have to actually switch to BBcode mode to use them - typing them as-is is just fine.
