There's no difference in syntax and sentence structure between when he's talking as "Maya" and when he's being "Guts" it's the same fucking person and this contrived fucking Discord conversation is entirely for the "benefit" (whatever that's supposed to be I can't figure out) of the reader.

Exactly. Real people don't communicate like this. At most I send a text when I'm driving. If this was a real conversation with a real couple that lived in the same home after the first message it would be "hold up I'll come upstairs/downstairs" because communicating by text is retarded when you can just speak. Which is exactly why this wasn't done in a voice chat, because then it couldn't be used as "proof" that he's really not just one retard larping. Also the exact same male voice speaking back and forth would be really confusing.

Now that I think of it the redacted part is extra fucking weird. If people know DMs will be screen capped, they'll either not say something that would need to be redacted or hit that edit button before screen capping to correct the fuck up. This attempt to make it look more authentic has the opposite effect. Think about it, what wife wouldn't be upfront about screen capping a convo to show the public?
