I've always eaten it fried, slap some mayo and cheese on it and that alone can make it for a pretty solid sandwich. You can add other stuff but I've always eaten it more basic.

You just slice it up and fry it. It tastes like salty bologna with a crispy outer shell when you cook it. It's by no means high dining, but for something salty that lasts for long periods of time, it's actually really nice. You'll want to treat it like pickled vegetables though and eat it with something else like rice as it's overpowering by itself.
