NEW YORK — April 24, 2023 — FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.

FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct-to-consumer streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International and the free ad-supported television service FOX Weather. Currently the number one network in all of cable, FNC has also been the most watched television news channel for more than 21 consecutive years, while FBN ranks among the top business channels on cable. Owned by Fox Corporation, FOX News Media reaches nearly 200 million people each month.

I'd imagine he got fired for the whole Dominion lawsuit thing, especially with the Smartmatic one starting up later this year. Fox can at least say "we fired Tucker for telling lies!" (even though they told him what lies to say and pushed said lies)

i have no idea but povich leaving current affair did not go over well. it was through paramount and i thnk nbc. again rupert was a money guy and when povich wanted to make that switch he just cut him out. it ended up butchering current affair too. like most money guys he has an ego.

when rupert got involved in american media it's important to understand he was an aussie, and they didn't have the same level of respect or decorum that american journos were trying to push at the time. he was a boundary pusher. as the business became more and more successful he had to tone it down a little bit and be a little more thoughtful in his decisions.

think about this one: Rupert Murdoch decides to run fox news as the conservative mouthpiece to counter cnn, while at the same time makes deals through 21st century fox with disney, which i believe most would consider a liberal company.

if you think these people have some sort of conservative or liberal values they are trying to uphold you are the kind of person they are trying to cater to: a dummy.
