Your right to self-defense is one every single lifeform on this planet has. The main goal in all life, from a dandelion to a dog to a human is to continue to exist.

Society doesn't argue that it's okay to steal because you were stolen from.
Society doesn't argue that it's okay to trespass in someone's property because they trespassed upon yours.
Society doesn't argue that it's okay to rape somebody because they raped you.
