Very thoughtful of the artist to soften that strong, masculine chin and touch up the obvious receding hairline Zac is starting to develop at his temples.

Which, is it just me or is the widow's peak starting to become more noticeable lately? Or maybe it's just the angle of this photo, close to head-on and from above, putting that increasingly bare temple front and center.

Tony retweeted another entry in my favourite genre of trans art earlier, that of "Do you really see yourselves like this?"

So other troons think that hand-on-heart pose looks sincere? This is why I think it’s important for people on the spectrum to mix with normal people whenever possible.

The "Zooey" name is from the book "Franny and Zooey" by JD Salinger (which I personally did find to be an interesting read). Zooey Deschanel's parents named her after that book, and I'm sure you're right that Zac fancies himself a similar quirky brunette pixie dream girl.

The best part of all of this is that Zooey is a male character in the book.

What I don't get is where 'Zephyr' comes from. It's such a.... a twitterina name.

Zac's statement clipped out of the local TV segment. The worst amateur dramatics I've seen in a while.

How is this not "democracy in action"? It's a red flyover state, wtf did he expect? Boomer GOP legislators throwing themselves at the heckin valid feet of troons? It's clear that what he mostly wanted to begin with was other people's attention.

Forgot to post this earlier: Tony has a new TikTok (captioned "Let Her Speak 🏳️‍⚧️") where he looks particularly deranged.

Edit: This was originally just the first part because I suck at ffmpeg. Fixed now.

(I clipped out the middle part, which is just footage from Montana.)

Forget about "three whites" sanpaku eyes; Tone is going for "four whites".

It's so ridiculous that they're playing victim in this one. "All she [sic] did is tell people who disagreed with her they're child murderers and lead on an insurrection of angry pedophiles in dresses who flew in from out of state to harass politicians!"

meanwhile tony wants the jan 6 boomers executed for their thought crimes and applauds some 40 day filibuster preventing people from voting on hospital funding. what a genuine goober

Gaptooth's partner Gobbo-BF is still silenced in the house.
Today has been a day of theatrics including them bringing in a 3200 signature petition to allow Gobbo to speak... on a single piece of paper which might've been printed out on one of those old dot matrix printers, it stretched all the way down the hallway and outside.

They ended the day with one of the "anti trans" bills, held a vote to see if Gobbo would be allowed to speak on it, rejected.
Gallery of 100+ immediately start screaming and yelling so the gallery has to be cleared. Speaker orders all house members to the side but Gobbo just ignores that and stands in the middle with a microphone in the air.

Someone in the crowd started throwing red paper (?) into the chamber, I was only able to clip the second throw
View attachment 5083919
Gobbo then continues to chant along with the crowd and essentially make a blatant display that he approves of their actions, this clip is taken after the left side had already been cleared with arrests including someone getting tackled to the ground, in this clip the guy in the tan jacket in roughly the center of the screen nearly leans too far over the balcony whilst being arrested.

Finally they send in the "riot police", at least ones with the big sticks etc, there's 2 particularly angry characters who show up at the end of this clip

Honestly you'd think this would be grounds for even more censure of Gobbo.

Anyway, the bill then passes after it took them 15 minutes to clear the gallery and a further 10-15 minute break to regain full control.
Look at the shine from the back of his head. He's trying to pull a combover on his bald spot.

Montana Legislature will be holding a vote tomorrow April 26, 2023 to censure or expel Zephyr. They are letting him speak he says.

I could almost do a whole lecture on Tony's hand gestures as poor public speaking form, too. They are very rote, and that style might be effective in high school but looks completely phony on real people in real settings.

At 0:09 he limpwrists the gesture of pounding his fist into his hand. He's at total cross-purposes with himself.

I’m fucking a logging, I don’t even care!

First, most of the news I’ve seen and references in this thread seem to be under the impression that this is all stemming from Zooey telling legislators who oppose gender-affirming care for minors that they have “blood on [their] hands.” False! What this is stemming from is Zooey telling legislators who oppose gender-affirming care for minors that he hopes “when [they] bow [their] heads to pray, [they] see blood on [their] hands.”

This is standing out to me for a couple reasons — namely that this “blood on your hands” statement may be unique in its delivery, but he’s been echoing the same sentiment since day one. I looked for like 14 seconds and, even with the influx of news from the last few days, I found an example from February 23 of much the same, as in implying that legislation is killing people, and I know for a fact there are more:31CB4315-41BA-4C8B-BFF3-95F731169E57.jpeg
Warning: very dumb article ahead serves as the source.

So this rhetoric from him isn’t new. WHAT IS NEW, however, and what the Speaker is actually referring to as the statement which requires an apology, is the “when you bow your heads to pray … “ part. THAT’S the issue, as I’m perceiving it. He used the opposing legislators’ perceived religious views (which tbf, he’s right, they are mostly non-denom Christians; MT Catholics lean left) as an argument! That’s so objectively inappropriate! It’s (imo) inappropriate when the GOP invokes Christian beliefs as a valid reason in and of themselves for opposing abortion, and it’s inappropriate when Zooey appeals to opposers’ Christian beliefs as a valid reason to flip to his position ( as in implying they’re hypocrites and also are bad at their religion, or, more accurately, as a reason they should feel Very Badly about themselves, huh Zac?).

You shouldn’t be able to single out someone’s religious beliefs in that kind of context, it’s just, it’s just plain inappropriate! It’s bad decorum! It blurs the line between church and state! It has no place in that which should answer to secular laws and rules! THAT’S what the apology is sought for! He offended those guys with that; the way he spoke is probably bordering on blasphemy for some of them, and that’s why stuff like that has no place in these contexts! If it was a tweet, okay, whatever. Tacky and melodramatic, but that’s on brand. But it wasn’t a Tweet, it was in a professional legislative context and it just isn’t right to speak that way to people and evoke their personal religious beliefs like that, no matter which side they’re on or from which side it’s coming. So he should apologize for that; even if he refuses to apologize for the sentiment, it would be enough for him to get his speaking privileges back if he took back that one statement. But he doesn’t want to.

That brings me to my next MATI point!

From CBS News

So let’s talk about how this is being reported—with a simple and ultimately meaningless apology, because it’s totally legal to apologize without actually feeling remorse for what was done or said, Zac could have restored his right to speak and avoided possible censure, been able to say whatever he was going to say on the bill that started all of this, and allowed the legislature to smoothly finish out the last few days of what has been an objectively pretty long session (January 2nd to now).

Instead, as we’ve seen, he has chosen not to do that. Okay, so why are all the mainstream news outlets burying the lead so hard on that? Why go with the “silencing strong trans woman!!!!!!” narrative when you can go for the “strong trans woman refuses to back down in the face of silencing!” narrative? The latter is more honest AND it still serves their agenda. Why are they burying the lead here? We know they’re fine with spewing violent rhetoric with no intention of apologizing, we’ve all seen it 1,000 times. “MT Representative Zephyr is silenced until an apology is issued. Here are all my loony troon reasons why she shouldn’t have to” type stuff would do the trick to achieve adherence to some level of honesty AND make their point that Zooey is a freedom fighter. I just … I hate all the bullshit, you guys! I hate newspaper editors! The misleading and inaccurate headlines are unironically bad for the world and bad for America! God! When will it end? And honestly, regarding the Speaker, why feed their victim complexes in the first place with this? Everyone gets offended by things; ultimately, when business is at hand at it’s just words, grownups should be able to brush it off and move on, imo, so I personally think there are dweebs on both sides. Business as usual

P.S. I’m laughing that they officially misgendered him in print, and agreeing with everyone who said it was probably genuinely an accident and Zac was all *hand on heart* “How DARE you remind me that everyone around me is aware of a material fact about myself and merely being polite by not mentioning it!”

Exactly, I noted somewhere upthread that it's religious bigotry from an elected government position and explicit blood libel. It grazes the rule against religious tests being used to determine whether a person can serve in government. Federal senators have run into this problem too by implying that Amy Coney Barrett was some zealot cultist for belonging to a Catholic small group, or Ilhan Omar suggesting that Jewish people hypnotize representatives to get what they want. It's insane rhetoric that has no place in the body politic. And even if all things were equal and other reps had conjured similarly violent imagery about pro-trans activists, they would probably still be on firmer footing because freedom of religion is so enshrined and trans status is not. But I don't think anyone has made comments like this during the session.
