This whole global situation is getting far, FAR too out of control. When something happens, the response makes the situation even worse than it was a month ago. We now have US leaders and their allies on the world stage openly threatening to start firing nukes. Meanwhile, they keep wanting to escalate in Ukraine by trying to push resolutions that demand a total Ukrainian victory involving them getting Crimea back.
If Xi actually gets Ukraine and Russia to end the war, that will be another nail in the coffin for American hegemony. Couple that with a lot of countries ditching the US dollar. The US is clearly not long for this world as a major power. Even if Trump gets back in barring "fortification", it's just going to be 2017-2021 all over again with the establishment wrangling with him instead of doing anything that'll solve this. The uniparty wants to work with Biden, and the establishment GOP wants to fight with Trump constantly while the Dems want to accelerate to something that can't be walked back from.
We are getting to the point where this CANNOT be fixed. Meanwhile, at the state level, the GOP is actually doing stuff while the Dems are doing that for their own side, case in point red states making troon surgery on kids a felony vs. Washington AWB that just passed. I feel we may be headed to the American experiment ending in balkanization or dictatorship. Maybe both.

Zelensky is a pawn. How secure is his position? His loyalty might be bought sure, but is the loyalty of his 2nd and 3rd and 4th also equally bought? How hard would it be for China to do it's own Euromaidan and get their own Zelensky in place?

Well, the MAGA crowd has basically said that we’re reaching a point where the only reason to engage the coastal leftists is to tell them to pound sand when they complain about the crime ridden state of their cities. So the only question becomes when that becomes a reality across the board.
Meanwhile I’m just waiting for when things just become what happens to cities if 1970s/1980s NYC and the LA Riots have a baby. On steroids.
