I hate how the term "neurotypical" makes these people think the actions of a mentally ill person don't have real consequences on the people around them. It's like they ironically are dismissing the mental health concerns of people who have to deal with "scary" (read: aggressive, violent) behaviors firsthand.

Splitting especially isn't some cutesy "uwu mentally ill I'm baby" bullshit, it's a direct cause of incredibly abusive behavior. Polissa doesn't have a consistent code of conduct beyond what will get her what she wants in the moment. Like many narcs, she pushes a pro mental health stance when she needs people to forgive her own toxic behaviour, but abandons it the second she might have to do something for someone else.

Also, honestly, she's probably smart to decline the offer, however well-intentioned. The trailer is remote as fuck, and who knows who will actually show up to "help" with nefarious intent. If someone came to rob them or worse, Polissa and Joh wouldn't stand a chance. Despite all of Joh's posturing here about breaking jaws and such, he's probably even more unfit than his massively obese wife. He looks like he's about to keel over imminently.

I think it's that she literally just wants cash. Her cashapp was front and centre during the video and that's what she really wants. If someone sends $500 then she can spend a tiny bit on some sticky tiles and a small piece of wood to nail over the gaping wall hole, leaving the other $450 for junk food and soda.

You're absolutely correct that she shouldn't be letting randos come to her home for safety reasons, but I feel like this wouldn't really occur to her. Also can she really be that ashamed if she's putting a video tour out there? Exactly. They're going to whack a slab of plywood over it and let it continue to rot away underneath. A lot of people who rent even though they can buy their own house do so because they couldn't be arsed to do maintenance, they'd rather let the landlord handle that shit. Even a well built house needs constant attention to keep it sound, and on top of all the ongoing little and moderately difficult issues, it'll periodically need horrifically expensive things like new floors, new roofs etc, new bathrooms etc over the course if its life. For example, even a simple tin roof needs someone to get up on top of it regularly to clean it, paint it, and replace the screws otherwise that thing's going to rust out.

Houses are hard work, especially ones that are built with shitty materials and techniques to begin with. Polissa and Josh really don't understand what they're getting into. New gyprock and floor boards aren't worth shit if the superstructure is collapsing.

I can't reply to the post, but re: help that may or may not have been promised to help fix up the trailer - it has been almost a year since she was offered the trailer and she is only just now clearing the trash out of it. If those mysterious male relatives did in fact offer their help, they have moved on because they can't sit around and wait for Polissa to gain the spoons to get off her fat ass and do the bare minimum for months upon months.

As for the structure, I have high hopes and reasonable expectations that there are things living under the floor. Chewing, pissing, shitting, nest building, and just generally compromising the integrity of the whole thing. A hamhock through the floor isn't an outlandish prediction.
