Mormon or Jehovahs Witness? Which Door Knocker Would You Choose?

Mormons. I used to live near a few of them, most of them were nice enough and weren't so dense that they couldn't figure out I wasn't interested.

I had a JW next to me at a train station and they wouldn't shut the fuck up about their weird 2nd coming prophecy was in 1914 prophecy.

Mormon's wanted to basically have the Bible but with a bunch of American exceptionalism thrown in, and the JW's have roughly the same biblical literacy as Chris Chan.

Either. They both give up when I just tell them I'm a catholic. Practically pagans. It's kind of sweet.
There's probably two reasons. One is that one of Mormonism's big sales pitches is that it's the restoration of Christ's church with ongoing revelation/direct authority from God, which would not be of any interest to Catholics that already believe they have essentially the same thing. The other is that in my experience Catholics tend to be the most hostile to them (probably for more or less the same reason, the religion is the least connected to theirs and at the same time makes the same universal claim).

I get bugged by Mormons about once a year they aren't too bad. Sometimes they read a little story out of their weirdo book and I go "Huh that sure is something."

Then I don't see them for a long time.
