Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Was it actually destroyed? The video doesn't show the damage / flames or anything like on the S-300 launchers.
I was always wondering how much damage such a drone can inflict on armor.
Doesn't look like it but it's not doing anti-air anything for long time.

Not that it ever did.

What Russia should do it send a barrage of drones to take out the crews as well, since those can't be as easily repaired as a Gepard.

Flames only happen as a result of something cooking off, you can riddle a car with bullets and there won't be any flames at all but it's clear the car will not be going anywhere anytime soon because too many vital areas are damaged.

Not saying every hit is a kill but just because you don't see a big video game fireball doesn't mean the vehicle isn't destroyed

While nothing is confirmed yet, General Romulus, the de facto leader of the army may have resigned/been reposted/demoted for letting Polacks smuggle military capable helicopters from Polistan through Hungary to Hoholistan.

Just a rumor so far. He could have just felt too old for it and wanted to retire. Hungarian army personnel often get cushy Rheinmetal jobs.

Here's one that asploded from a Russsian drone hit; something cooked off. I have been advised its a B1 Centauro as I'm not a tank gorl.

seeing reports of another missile barrage hitting Kiev and a few other cities. Only vids currently are completely black with the sounds of explosions and Slavic cursing.
Video from Uman. Russia is claiming Uke air defenses fucked up again and shelled themselves, I'm sure Ukraine will claim Russia launch a missile at the apartments/missed and hit the apartments

Looks like an air conditioner blew up.
I remember similar videos from Lugansk in 2014.

Look at them poor ukrops being returned home after being starved by ruzzians.. Some forgot what apples looked like, some lost 20kg after a year in captivity..

Others didn't though, for some reason. From the same batch of exchanged POWs.

How long until they get shipped back to the front?

Has the T-14 seen any action yet? I've seen from State Media that it has been deployed.
From what I've read it has seen limited duty back from the point of contact. I have not seen any specific video or anything to corroborate that claim though. I'd be pretty worried about one being taken, even partially destroyed, if i was Russia.

Few hours old but a decent writeup of the situation as of this morning (SMO time):

Here is some footage on it, though because it's pitch black, it's mostly just sounds of the explosions.

I bet this one is a favourite in the trenches *wink *wink

I wish a missile would strike this tranny and only this tranny. The Ukrainians assigned to protect his ass are not going to shed a tear for him either. With a bit of luck they'll get reassigned to protect some other westerner, hopefully one that is not a tranny and is less obnoxious than Michael here.

That is mostly correct. Morskaya pekhota aren't the US equivalent because the Soviet (and Russian) Navy primary objectives are to defend Russia staggering long coastline with the VVS and to protect their SSBNs long enough for a nuclear exchange. It's why they've got the Mig-25 and Mig-31 in service.
They have some really interesting subs due to doctrinec (Project 661/705 and Project 685 come to mind). Leave it to the Russians to use expensive as fuck titanium for a hull and then slap a molten lead-bismuth reactor in there.

Bonus funding go to the SSGNs with enough missles to sink an entire CTF or for the SSNs which try to ASuW a carrier with a 65-76. I would not want to be on a ship getting hit by a 557kg torpedo warhead.
Which service trains the hardest and has the strictest requirements?

The usual counterexample, as in “part of the army that is kept apart and above despite not being special forces” would be the paratroopers. You know of them even if you don’t know that’s what they are, they’re the guys in distinctive white and blue striped shirts and berets (though in combat of course they dress like other soldiers). The navy isn’t as significant a portion of the Russian military, because navies are primarily useful to empires, so unlike the US marines the paratroopers have a special focus on airborne assault. Think helicopters.
