The problem at the end of the day is EIEN allowed them to have secondary NSFW accounts and promoted the coomer tubing.

Corpo Vtubers don't even get to choose their own first names? That's actually news to me lol I only watch indies now and some Nyanners in the past. So do they just recruit a NEET woman and push her into a mold that they developed in a Zoom boardroom?

Amelia Watson always vaguely appealed to me because I love Sherlock Holmes, but that girl has no clue about what character she's even supposed to be based on, right? It just seems like a mismatch to tack on an identity and "lore" to a girl that has no reason to be passionate about either.

I don't want to harsh your enjoyment of corpTubers if you love them, but I feel like they are succeeding in spite of these details, rather than because of them.

That's a good point, yeah! Funnily enough, Nyanners actually is supposed to style herself as an eldritch horror too, but she's obviously just a bubbly girl with an extreme shyness streak. How much better would her act be if VShojo contractually obligated her to read Call of Cthulu?

Her signature song does a great job evoking that kind of atmosphere, but it's ZERO percent present in her streams. Her alter-ego Myau did an ok job during her ASMR streams, but why don't they take more advantage of their gimmicks?
