One thing a show like Fishtank will always show is that everyone is racist and prejudice behind closed doors. It’s human nature.

People just need permission to say things. That's why the culture war is a lot more important than above-it-all centrists like to think. People hate Sam Hyde's community so much because it's a bunch of guys who don't care about the transexual negros gatekeeping our gay ass culture and they've put in the work to live outside of it.

The reason why YouTube, discord and Reddit faggots try so hard to act like Sam doesn't exist is because acknowledging him gives their audience permission to step outside of their homo safe space. Current content creators are only relevant because they're good at following the rules and Sam does anything he can to break them and move beyond them. If you give a massive audience permission to break the rules things are going to change and the safe space will crumble.

Yeah, a lot of young people watch Sam's stuff and emulate him. Jet Neptune is basically a carbon copy of Sam now. I wouldn't call him a loser though because he's doing some pretty cool stuff. Sam Hyde's fandom/ hatedom is schizopilled. Prior to Charls making up with Sam they were going nuts with how Nick was suicidal because Sam fucked everyone over. How Erik Hayden was never going to talk to Sam again (until he went onto Sam and Nick's podcast.) They took the lowball offer Adult Swim offered Sam when Nick and Charls were trying to get their own show and said it was him sabotaging Nick and Charls.

IIRC Jet never really talked to or knew his father until semi-recently. He was taken by the state as a child was adopted and lived in a trailer with what he claims was an abusive family. He only made contact with his father in the past ~6 years because his grandmother was dying in the hospital and he wanted to see her.
