Even if Ralph somehow magically got clean and sober (lol), he's still Ralph, -he's been the same piece of shit asshole for the past 7-8 years, sometimes consuming more drugs, sometimes less, sometimes drunker, sometimes not, but the spite, the rage, the hate, attacking women and families for no good reason, etc. is not cause of the drugs, that is all 100% Ralph.
So no, even if he got clean (again, lol. He's claimed the same thing many times and it never sticks, and most of the time he's just pretending like with "sober spring"), it would make zero difference, he's still the same little manlet that will lie, obsess, indulge and do horrible shit to people who don't deserve it.

I am surprised how many people are actually buying into the act though. It's the same shit as his suicide baiting, it's pathetic and if he really meant a single word of it he would have to check himself into some type of facility because Ralph is not gonna detox on his own. Ever.
All you need to know is that he immediately claims to be 2 days sober when he was on stream getting wasted a day before, It's the exact same "3 years clean" bullshit that Warski pulls.

For Ralph to turn his life around he would actually have to care about his "family". The disgust between him and the horse has been extremely visible for the last few months and he cannot hide his disgust and disdain for his daughter. Like someone else pointed out, he's probably more fucked up about losing control, what that means for his "image" and how much he depended on the horse for finances (bank accounts, loans, paypal, etc.).

If trying to punch a cop because you are so wasted (which turns you into a felon, sends you to jail, and destroys your relationship since the country your wife lives in will no longer accept you) does not make you reevaluate your life, then nothing will.
Besides, he got out of jail and immediately started drinking, It only took a couple of months before he was getting blackout drunk on stream regularly.

Anyway, I'm just sort of surprised people are actually buying into any of it. Looking forward to the next stream and what his excuse will be then, or will he actually try to pretend he stopped taking pills and drinking?

Honestly the Steven Crowder thing comes across as resentment and jealousy from Dick, Ralph and adjacent.

Dick seething in multiple replies about Right wingers shouting pedo, Crowder being much more famous than Dick, infinitely richer than dick, impregnating higher quality women than both (non maddox leftovers). Yes, I think he will. However, his problem is he isn't seeing this as a dead stop, therefore he is foreseeing and wanting to relapse.

Ralph dying from withdrawal is the only way I could believe that Ralph actually went sober for a while. Ralph has claimed to be "sober" SO MANY TIMES in the past and to Ralph that means he only quits hard liquor, replaces it with beer, smokes twice as much weed and continues to pop pills. He's not been sober since he was like 12.

Crowder grifts the trad, Chad, right wing, Christian family values crowd. Dick decided to grift the PUA, libertarian, degenerate, don’t get a wife or kids to cramp your style crowd. The popularity of Dick’s manchild schtick peaked in 2010 and has been in decline ever since. Not to mention it’s really only a schtick than can work for men 35 and under, a marker Dick long ago passed.

It is hilarious to watch Dick criticize crowder while defending Ralph who impregnated and abused his last two girlfriends in the same manner plus lots more alcohol and drug abuse thrown in. Ralph is just a fatter, uglier, stupider, inebriated, unsuccessful, poor man’s Crowder.

I remember listening to some rehab doc how he manages patients with benzo addiction. I believe he used example of 4 mg daily, 2 mg twice a day case. He said he'll first ask patient to determine which one of the two daily doses is more important to them. They usually say morning dose. He than asks them to try and cut afternoon dose in half, so they take 2 mg in the morning, and just 1 mg in the afternoon when ever they can. They are given prescription for a period til next appointment. Week or month later (depending on the stage of the rehab) patient brings extra halfs from all the days they split their dose. Sometimes they bring no halfs, sometimes few, sometimes many. That's how it starts, and it progresses in similar way and by switching from fast acting to slow acting benzos at some point in time. Many finish rehab by staying on low dose permanently because they actually have panic disorders and what not. In Ralph's case, he should strive to go from 10 mg/day to 8 mg/ day for a start.

I don’t think you understand benzos very well then. Ralph might be able to cease drinking alcohol for a few days (doubt), but he cannot suddenly stop taking benzos after the amounts he’s been regularly taking for months.

I doubt he has the willpower and the pain threshold to get to the point he would start having seizures from benzo withdrawal but the point is he cannot be sober or stop taking Xanax cold turkey. The only way he would go cold Turkey on Xanax is if he couldn’t get a hold of any. Remember his trip to Italy? He had no Xanax when he arrived and therefore spent his first day there trying to find a doctor to prescribe them. He cannot go without Xanax for even one whole day.

He will just proclaim anything under his normal 20 mg a day means he’s sober.

The only way Ralph could get sober is undergoing a medical detox, then rehab. Instead he will just consider taking “less” or not being a drooling, obviously inebriated monkey on stream as sober.

The biggest challenge for Ralph will be controlling his abuse so that it’s not painfully obvious how fucked up he is while streaming, but he will even fail that low bar after a few days or weeks. He hasn’t been sober in twenty years, only an addict that’s more functional for periods of time.
