Pony Town Community / pony.town - A My Little Pony MMORPG full of the worst users TikTok has to offer.

I was under the impression that "touch trigger" or whatever was a roleplay thing, at least originally. Like you'll be talking to someone but you don't want to bother RPing hugging, reacting to being hit etc. so you just say "don't touch (my character)" as a way to entirely circumvent that. Kind of like how being demisexual was originally a roleplay thing where you wouldn't immediately fuck someone else's character the second they ask, but you want a reason to explain it without breaking character. But just like how demisexual got co-opted into a "'real"" thing by tumblr, I guess the same thing happened with touch triggers

also was there ever a demo version of ponytown? I think I remember playing it in ~February of 2016
Oh god damn it, that explains so much about all that language suddenly appearing and the places where it did. Ugh.

Isn't the game not even filled with "bronies", anymore? Last time I checked any LGBTQ±i^2 furry otherkin or even weebs use that site now. They just view it as a general congregaton to talk about whatever shit they don't want to talk about on Twitter or on video games. Taking a quick look at the game the only pony-related players I see are Mane Six/Show cosplayers or anonfillies. Also filled to the brim with special "Do Not Interact" characters.
I mean, “original bronies” as in sweaty balding men? I’d say it’s nearly void of them.
Bronies as in 15 year old xe/xyr autistic girls? 90% of the userbase.
That and it’s just a festering ground for people who can’t draw or do much creative so they design pixel characters instead.

Au contraire. The pony creator is shockingly in-depth and people have done some amazing shit with it. I've used it for a couple of character tokens in TTRPGs; it has an unusually high skill ceiling while still giving plebs like me the ability to make decent looking characters. Just give me a variant of the aviator's goggles that can be worn on the forehead and I'll die happy.

Well, Ponytown is slowly prioritizing cosmetic changes so you may be in luck!

When I look at the pixelated style and custom characters, I'm kind of reminded of being 12 on Gaia Online in a weird, sentimental, and nostalgic way. Does anyone else feel the same way? It's kind of a scary thing knowing that once I was kind of like the weirdos we laugh at today.

What a crazy topic, huh? I guess the kids in whatever days will always yearn for a Gaia Online/other assorted dress-up chatroom games.
I wonder what the closest you can get to a Nazi pony is without getting yeeted would be.

Definitely wondering just what kind of TTRPG you're playing if you can use ponies as tokens.

Custom horse mounts for players who have achieved them. I've also wanted to try out Ponyfinder since I love Pathfinder but haven't found the time.

Last I checked, windmill censorship could be circumvented by placing an extra pixel. Color match the pixel to whatever your pony's ass is, and as soon as you load into the spawn area, every troon within your FOV will start sperging out and trying to ""hide"" you by making their pixel horse stand over yours. Might have been patched out, haven't tried since last summer.

I don't know much of what the community's like (Are bronies still like...a thing these days? G4's been over for years.), but I won't really laugh at them since what's the actual difference between Pony Town and any of the dress-up based virtual chatrooms some of us used to play as kids?
If it weren't for the 18+ and safe servers being so close to each other they probably have a huge overlap, I'd rather weird teens be there than on some Discord server.

And I don't know WHAT this Pitch Light dude over here is doing talking about some pony drama faggotry in 2023 like they're doing a video essay blowing the whistle on some big scheme.

You're right. People don't really care for the game itself, hence why the thread is about the community, because kids today are unhinged and chronically online and Pony Town attracts the least sane ones like moths to a flame.

Damn, you're right, I sometimes just forget how much of a turn kids have taken for the worse when it comes to things like this on the internet. Fuck, it feels like yesterday where the worst I had to worry about was seeing some cartoon gore stuff like Happy Tree Friends or some dumb shit when I got home to a computer, and hoping my parents didn't walk in.
Now kids have a 24/7 stream of real gore and horny shit they shouldn't be exposed to from their phones, and wanting to be traumatized so bad without understanding trauma, that they pretend someone standing to close to their fake magical pony avatar sets them off in real life.
