I can sit through an entire hour of Ben Shapiro monologuing. I could never go more then 15 minutes with Crowder.

At least Ben Shapiro is unintentionally funny. When Shapiro was reciting the lyrics to WAP that was pure comedy gold. You don't get that with Crowder. The man tries too hard to be funny that it comes off as pathetic and cringe. Not to mention that his cross dressing gives off homo vibes.

I tried to get into his content as well. I finally said fuck this guy after the third attempt.

Make sure you add all the DW drama to the OP. This is really important in building context. I wrote another post about it in another thread, but I transposed the timeline because I am retarded however, doesn't really change anything besides it making Crowder look even more like a whiny piece of shit. Here is the fixed timeline.

In Dec? or so, Crowder announces he is leaving The Blaze. He is in contract negotiations with other outlets which he doesn't disclose. He posts in January this poorly acted grift video where he accuses whomever he is working with on another contract of trying to fuck him over and he is literally the conservative Jesus being nailed to the cross guiz!

The DW immediately recognizes that he is talking about them and their offer sheet. This forces them to just come out and say, yeah that was our term sheet, but holy shit, really?

Then Crowder decides it would be a fucking fantastic idea to make a video playing an edited version of a private conversation between him and Boring he secretly recorded because he somehow thought it would help his victim narrative. The response to this was overwhelmingly negative and Crowder went into hiding for two months to tend to his narc injury.

He comes back recently and acts like nothing really happened. Dave Landau is missing. Most of the fans of the show really like Dave so they kept asking where he was. He never responded. Eventually Dave responded himself as to why he left in a nearly two hour interview with Michael Malice. He documents severe mental and emotional abuse at the hands of Crowder as his employer. Biggest of all was that Crowder wrote Landau a contract that was way worse than what the DW was offering Crowder.

I like how all of these political talk show hosts consider themselves legitimate comedians when their standup is verbal excrement. I'm really looking forward to the complete OP because this guy has been popping up in my feed for years. That Ring cam footage that the media is trying to kill him over is very tame compared to how they're presenting it.

Last time I tried to watch Crowder was like 5 years ago at the Internet Bloodsports Heyday, he was the usual case of "woe is me" light right that was barely edgier than anything 20 years ago, I quickly lost interest.

I've tried watching his show every now and then but I find it very difficult to do so. Yes, each show he does has sources for each subject he covers but he presents it in such a elongated boring way that I eventually tune out.

The last 6 months have been crazy for Con/con-adjacent talking heads. Crowder being a bitch, Sydney Watson vs The Blaze, Elijah Schaffer being a creep, Rekieta becoming a coomer. It has been a fun ride.

If anything, props to the Daily Wire people for (so far anyways) being able to handle their ship in a professional looking way. Hell even the small beef between Shapiro and Owens wasn't brought up as a huge thing. Matt Walsh is still a weirdo though.

Somehow, Ben has kept his ego in check. Maybe it's because the man has responsibilities, staff to manage? Sure he's controlled, has stupid takes, but it doesn't really seem like he's the hyper aggressive type of guy like Crowder has always been. Yes he gave Crowder a weak deal. You were supposed to negotiate dumbass.

how and why the footage was released has nothing to do with the way he acts in the footage because it obviously happened long after the incident itself. it excuses nothing.
