While he was the small arms development representative for Delta Force, Delta adopted the HK416. Immediately after Larry retires and takes a job at HK (funny, that). Delta adopting the 416 leads to units all over the world adopting it. If someone with more integrity had been in the position there's a history where piston ARs aren't a thing.
Well, when you put things
like that...
For the life of me I can't understand why HK didn't just improve the housing of the G36.
The HK433 looks like what they should have done two decades ago, and yet that still flounders as the HK416 lives on.
I wonder if it's any good?
And what's the ATF going after Vickers for anyway?
I think it was something about not doing the paperwork 100% properly for one or more of the sales.
The others say something about his FFL, and maybe they're being the usual cunts and interpreting him selling off his collection as if he's open for business.
realistically, is a full auto pistol really any more effective at doing street crime than a regular semi auto pistol?
At close ranges, I can imagine it has its utility. I don't know if it's THE first live streamed murder, but from what I can tell the guy got iced real good.
EDIT: Actually, Tarrant was before this, and there's some other cases, but it's the only incident I can think of where someone was streaming and they happened to get murdered (though he clearly ignored the Switch Of Damocles hanging over him), the others seem to be cases of criminals setting out to stream their crimes.
Vague recollection I have is that the victim murdered someone's wife, girlfriend, or sister, something like that, then fled the US. Thinking he's safe in Puerto Rico, her next of kin 'raids his stream,' so to say. The dude in red in the background was the corpse's nephew or something, who's the owner of the house. News described him as managing to catch two bullets through his ankle as he was fleeing, but surviving (because he wasn't the target).
Not terribly graphic and much happens off screen, but it looks like maybe the assailant loaded up with tracers, like he's holding this beam of Parabellum on his target, who's desperately trying to crawl away as he gets increasingly ventilated. At this distance, the quantity sure seems to have substituted well for quality.
I think you could get super combat effective with a g18 if you practiced your trigger control enough to reliably get 3-5 round bursts on target.
3rd burst seems pretty sensible for machinepistols tbh
