I remember that character, before you lose your marbles here's some context: He made her to stay more on point in an episode on his channel about "Rule63 / Gender Bending" specials. He did mentioned he wanted to feature her more, but has no idea how to use that character.
Although, his fandom seem to be of the sjw/radical left kind, not the best crowd to deal with.

Her response was 5 minutes of admitting she was shitty and then 40 minutes of going "BUT THEY WERE WORSE." And a lot of it was benign or shit that wasn't entirely in their control.

Not a lot of people aside from her mostly curated comments are buying it and seeing it for the manipulation that it is. Hell that's not even true, looking back to grab the link her comments on the video have done a complete 180 for the most part. People are just dunking on her so fast she can't keep up and hasn't bothered deleting anything. Wouldn't surprise me if it gets locked. Red is your typical feminist leftist, the Lovecraft video was embarrasing and she spent Trump Election night crying into her guitar.

Going to bump this since I think it's still relevant. Red specifically has been way more pushy about her politics in unrelated things, specifically in her Trope Talk videos (which I have the misfortune of mostly enjoying otherwise).

A few notable examples from those (with one bonus example from Blue because why not):

• Red spends about 5 minutes of her 22-minute episode on Robots actually talking about Robots and the tropes surrounding them. The other 17 minutes are devoted to fictional racism and "neurodivergent coding".
• See also: the Mary Sue video where she spends 1 minute divulging each type of Sue and 9 minutes complaining about how she liked Rey and people are too harsh on female characters (bonus points for being one of the earlier videos where she constantly interjects her point with fictional outrage from the comments depicted as a kaiju fight),
• the Antiheroes video that devotes an entire section to praising diversity and moping about the fact that a lot of antiheroes are gruff white dudes,
• and the Smart Guy video where she complains about autistic traits in media before saying how there should be more autism in media, just in a way she prefers.
• She did an entire episode on "queer-coded villains" and put a fucking content warning in the beginning because she says queer in the video. Not surprising considering her fanbase consists exclusively of braindead leeches who waste their talents on animating vines from 8 years ago, but it's still kind of sad. The actual video's premise isn't terrible but boy is it fucking obnoxious. The whole thing is whining about how bad it was to make gay dudes villains in the beginning before going on to talk about how actually that's a good thing because those characters often became fan favorites. Also any word or sentence relating to "queer" is colored rainbow on her slides so it's awful to look at and makes the notes painfully hard to read at points.
• Blue has an entire playlist devoted to old videos that contain "misinformation" and "do more harm than good" by staying on his channel. I am almost certain that he's overblowing things due to older content not having as much of a bias, but I don't have the patience to watch every single video to check. Feel free to correct me if you've watched these and know otherwise

Their shared Twitter is about as you'd imagine, as are their friends (TeamFourStar and JoCat are a pair of teetering cows they're pretty close with, if you want a decent picture, and they shill Lindsay Ellis quite a bit whenever they recommend other YouTube channels). It's all kind of milquetoast outside of the advertising and wannabe breadtubing. I just needed an excuse to complain because I had to watch this whole fucking playlist for a writing course so now you get to suffer through me whining about it too.


As is Red's webcomic, which badly suffers from sameface. Like, really really badly. All of her protagonists have the exact same chin and eyes and share two hairstyles (long and frazzled vs short and frazzled) total lol. (The villains are mostly non-human so they don't have the same issues, but a lot of the human side characters aren't free from this either.)


Not sure if the pair are cow-worthy yet but boy are they grating. That webcomic also has potential to go bad (because every webcomic does) and the political rants in writing videos are already quite annoying.
If nothing else, the pair is worth discussion and moping about lol. I am completely BATI (b for bitter) over this because OSP was one of the only writing channels I could watch for less than half an hour and still come away from with some valuable knowledge- my alternatives were either several-hour video essays or even more aggressive moralistic preaching- and it's getting harder and harder to stand how much more Red's been sliding towards the latter

They're definitely not going to improve considering who they surround themselves with, so at this point I think it's just a matter of waiting out the clock until some large controversy strikes
there's no way these people have no skeletons in their closets, anyways, seeing as they're already willing to bury their older work for stuff as simple as not fitting their current narrative
