I have spent the last hour trying to search for Josie's duck toy by googling, "duck toy ramp witch doctor oo ee oo ee", but I finally found it. I'm gonna order one of these from Amazon. Now I can't live without that sound.

What an impressive display of modern technology, i dindn't knew it was so advanced.
No wonder why Josie was so mesmerized by it.

The site has been down and I have been periodically checking the live feed. I am confused as fuck because every time I would look at the feeds, something completely new was happening with no context of what happened before.

Can someone tell me why Jon barricaded in the room and why he's hiding from everyone? And why are there two chairs with tape on it?

Jet is currently explaining to Jon that people have to play by the rules, because without rules, shit would fall apart. The fucking irony of him saying that when Sam keeps fucking things up by inconsistent rules.

I will say Jet is really good at talking Jon down and making him feel better. He suggests Jon takes the L today and work hard tomorrow. I think what Jet doesn't get is that the fish are checked out because this disability challenge is too long with no pay off. If you're going to make the fish wear a disability all day then you MUST throw in some mini challenges to keep them motivated. And it would certainly help things if Jet and Co would find a way to reassure the fish that they will actually get fish bucks if they win, and they will not lose their money later (Like when Sam docked a fish buck from Vance for no reason).

Jet grilled Jon for lack of trying today.

What’s more interesting to me was the last third of the convo. Jet admits that he himself dropped the ball on today. Jet said it just wasn’t as entertaining but there’s always tomorrow. That he woke up not feeling his best but he’s going to do his best to make the best episode yet tomorrow.

If anyone can clip that part it would be appreciated. I get a sense they didn’t make as much money today after they lost most the audience during the retard challenge. I wonder if he got a talking to from Sam.

The chairs are a badminton / tennis net that one of the sharks set up. I don't remember what time, I want to say it was around 9:30 or 10:00PM

I missed out on the barricade fiasco all together and I only caught the very end of Jet's pep talk to Jon.

Yeah, the viewcount has been low all day. Every time I would check in, it was staying in the 2K-5K range, even during peak hours. Definitely a noticeable drop.

In all honesty, hire me and this guy. We seem to get how reality TV and a good show is supposed to work.

Probably been brought up already, but how likely is it that Fishtank might get a late TV deal with some network or another during this writer's strike? Realityshit did well if I recall from the last strike 16 or however many years ago. Think Sam being producer and featured host would hinder this?
Not a chance in Hell I'd say, the idea isn't new other than putting terminally online autists in as the contestants. It would be incredibly difficult to make a 24/7 livestream engaging for viewers which is why I cut FTL slack, if you were to cut this down to an hour or two a week it would be hilarious. They could get advertisers for subsequent seasons, though, and I'm sure they'll end up making pretty good money from the TTS and al that.

Jon is the fall guy imo. Jet said he only posts/reads Instagram/Twitter these days. I think it’s enabling the producers worst habits when making the show day to day. It’s a hug box environment. I genuinely hope they figure out what was working before Vs what is killing things.

If that contract is real there's a bunch of "Sam owns your life rights, can make a website with your name, and also can randomly change the rules" stuff that probably eliminated quite a few people.

They seem to be trying to do a Big Brother thing except the show will be produced long after the stream ends rather than simultaneously - I can't see a network being interested in that when everyone will know the winner (not to mention most of the comedy wouldn't pass standards).

The contestants rebelling due to incompetence might be funny but they'd have to plan it.

As a rundown and some fun pictures. Jon had a meltie after realizing he was going to lose for not putting any effort in at all today. Once the White shark came out and told him how many points he lost, he went upstairs and barricaded himself into Bedroom 2 using 3 mattresses, a bookshelf, and a lamp to 'block' the camera.

After about an hour so of fart sounds being constantly spammed into the room, it was breached by Jet and the camera man, leaving Jon to cry in the closet because he was sure he'd be going home. Nothing was left in the room, not even the lightbulb.

Once breached, Letty was sent in to try and defuse the situation by reading him the bible in the dark. Jon fled to the bathroom and was later called down to the laundry room to be scolded. The story Jon stuck with is it was all just an act, He was the schizo after all! Jet didn't buy it, but let him off if only to keep him on the show for now. "I gewt in twouble when ah be rewestic and ah be in twouble when ahm over the towp....."

As a bonus, they told Josie she didn't have to do the torettes challenge anymore. I assume this is because people have developed tics before after pretending to have one. To no one's suprise, even after being told she didn't have to continue, she was still snapping her fingers and clicking until awhile ago when Dam told her she had to stop or she'd be stuck doing it forever.

This is literally what they signed up for.
I can't remember the ad, but a few of them seemed to think it was a 'like Big Brother' thing, and not a 'Do as much crazy shit as possible to keep paypigs feeding Sam' while also being a Big Brother thing. I don't think the producers should blame the contestants for low paypigging when the contestants have to live like this, they need to take responsibility.

Here's nearly the entirety of Jet and Jon's conversation. Around :07:30 he gets to the heart of things. Nice guy Jet.

Sort of nice guy Jet.

They’re now having to force the cast to do things they were doing on their own before. You shouldn’t have to corner an autistic man about his performance because of your mistakes. People were pointing these mistakes as they happened.

At one point during the clip Jet is begging Jon to engage in conflict and Jon outright refuses. Sam berating the cast for that behavior and subtracting fishbucks is all Jon needed to see.
