Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

All I can say is, no offense to you Epoch, but I'm still going to have to play it for myself, not rely on impressions from these leaks. A lot of the stuff you say is poor about the game, such as the underground, others have had no problem with, and even praise. It's all subjective after all.
I think the depths gave a poor first impression, I'm enjoying it more now that I have better equipment and the like, but I think its still kind of lacking in stuff actually underground. Without shrines (as much as I distain them), koroks or secret caves there isn't really that much to really find. There is absolutely stuff I'm missing though, which is why I think only me posting about my playthrough isn't the best for someone trying to get a good idea of what the game has to offer, you are only seeing my playthrough, and despite me sort of trying to be neutral, my opinions still come through and taint it.
How the fuck do you get past the first shrine? The part with the two hooks and the wooden crate to stand on and cross the gap?
attach the hook to the board in the middle, hook the board to the rail and ride it across.

I didn't play SMG2 but I've never seen a Mario game remix the same map and just add to it, even the glorified ROM hack SMB2 had entirely original maps. I'm just throwing that out there...

How often does New York radically shift in design through being conquered, flooded, or the passage of time (or just artistic merit/hardware constraints)?
How many games have been set in the same city despite being different games, sometimes from completely different publishers and not being related to each other aside from the location?

Oh btw what does the Forgotten Temple in the Northwest look like now?

I'm not sure what you mean about the missing cutscene, and I honestly can't really be bothered to sift through the old trailers and compare everything.

This right here, you can even spot that the jewel on Ganondorf looks more different in the final release.

I wanna have at least one more game in my lifetime reference Twilight princess. It was my first, everyone loves their first.

Maybe hidden somewhere in the game there is a race of short sassy gingers with glow in the dark thigh tattoos. A man can dream...

Have the Sheika take the curse stone and turn it into a tool for turning into different types of dogs? Then Link and collect them like the masks from MM? So there's the Doberman curse for attacking, the Bloodhound curse for finding, the Husky curse for transporting loads, the greyhound urse for going very fast, and the Brussels-Griffon curse for endearing the monsters so they give you stuff and info instead of attacking.

Why can't you just accept that this was from an incredibly early build?

Seriously, this trailer was from 3 years ago

I do accept that it's from an early build or possibly a DLC cutscene that was repurpose for a trailer since the news reports said that TOTK was made because there was too many DLC ideas that the Nintendo EPD had for BOTW.

I might be overthinking this but I'm just trying to figure out what went wrong with the sequel in question.

It's DLC they Frankenstein'd into a sequel, that's what went wrong.

Quit being such an autist. It's probably just some random ideas that they couldn't really include in the last two games.

Somewhere down the line, somebody went, "Wait, they actually walked this giant ass buffalo through an abandoned castle?"

As it is, it quickly turned into an "Your Princess is in another castle!" routine, shortly after that part

I can't wait for this stupid game to come out. Based on what a friend who pirated it is saying, I am so hyped. Apparently the new map is giant and it's really good (at least up to what he's played.)
Legit cannot wait to return to BOTW Hyrule with a new story and some new lands.
I've been relistening to the soundtrack lately and just getting feels. Kinda hoping there's some new characters as loveable as Kass, Beedle, that guy who's thirsty for gerudos etc. They did a really good job in BOTW of filling the game with charming NPCs so I'm hoping for that to continue in TOTK.

Kotaku was recently blacklisted from advanced coverage of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This may be due to them having previously encouraged people to pirate Metroid Dread.

Kotaku retaliates by posting a bunch of spoilers for the game because they are Journalists.

Kotaku senior writer Luke Plunkett takes a thoughtful and nuanced stand on this issue.
