This whole paranoia about fucking Sam Hyde like he's an infectious biohazard is literal mental illness. Okay, he's a bit of a spastic, but what did he think was going to happen, Froggy pulling him out of his pocket during the fight? "That's too much, that's kinda gay" say's iDubbbz, as he looks like he's being held at knifepoint by a Teletubby.

Most of his Kickstarter Crap targets didn’t even deserve it.
I don't really agree. The point of Kickstarter Crap was showcasing disingenuous, selfish or misguided people making projects that were requesting money in bad faith in an atmosphere of non-existent quality control (like Jim Sterling did for Steam). His targets were people asking others to basically crowdfund their vanity expenses (
Hilixxia,
Fund my Ass,
Burning Bridges Blog Network,
Evolve,
loads of gaming channels), ideas that were redundant or badly thought out (
SimB2B,
The Hummingbird,
The Coolest Cooler), hawking products that would get you laughed out of art school (
Zen Egg,
Cube,
Run and Roll It), memes (
Potato Salad Clones,
Roomba Pong,
ImmaBe Emoji), ridiculous self-promotion (
GatorPoon,
SelfMade Entrepreneurs,
SKITSOPHONIC TV) or outright scams (
7Framed,
Moratorium,
Big Yellow House Organic Lemons), all of which were giving crowdfunding a poor reputation. Calling these people 'victims' as some recent videos on iDubbbz have done is exactly the kind of revisionist history iDubbbz is casting on himself.
The through line on these, as I saw it, is that he was asking people to think critically about what they spent money on while urging these crowdfunded projects to exhibit some standards and personal responsibility. While he was blunt and could be nasty, particularly later on, he was rarely hostile - which is why it's so strange for him to sit there and characterize this and a few critique videos on insulated e-celebrities as "negativity". I'd understand him being honest about moving on, but he can't do this Schrödinger's Nigger act where his old content was both harmful yet may have inspired and helped others "grow as a person".
I'm just gonna save the archived playlist of Kickstarter Crap, unsubscribe and pretend iDubbbz just suddenly retired.
