An autist is more likely to have issues with an eye exam than a non-autist, sure. However, literally everyone (other than troons) would avoid massive, pointless elective surgery that permanently ruins their genitalia and ability to experience sexual pleasure and reproduce. It isn't adding up because it doesn't make any sense for anyone to do.
They also don't get over all their issues, judging by all the hospital meltdown posts.

The most telling thing is how you never see trans people posting porn of their neovaginas after surgery. They go from hypersexual gooners to miserable eunuchs. They will be posting the most disgusting nudes and porn imaginable up until the surgery... then it goes radio silent. That in itself says everything. Even years post-op, nothing. Sure they might post a few gross pics of the neovag itself, but never any actual sexual content.
This isn't really news to anyone who frequents the thread, of course. But it bears repeating. None of these people are happy customers.

They get to interact with the big charismatic surgeon, they get to actually have real, dangerous ,big deal surgery, and then to seal the deal, get a very serious medical issue for the rest of their lives!
It also, importantly, appeals to their arrogance. They get to feel like experts, "we end up knowing better than the Doctors", they get to use big medical words and reel off medical abbreviations like pro's, gives them something to focus on and feel scholarly about in their shallow lives of Consoom, dirt level media.
(yet somehow all thier "research" never seems to help much...)
They get to swell with pride when they say "My Surgeon" the same way self-important bores do with 'my Accountant, 'my Lawyer', etc.
That stupid woman who has a thread here ( forget her name- the one who gradually picked her fucking legs off), really missed a trick.
Shoulda just trooned, got all the Attentions and a Disability(tm), and still been able to walk / not get constantly rightfully accused by all her Doctors of doing it to herself..

The thing I find most horrifying aside from the de-gloved limbs on pooners who have had phalloplasty, is all the stuff that goes wrong with their fucked up urinary piping. Blair White was interviewing a "detransitioned" MTF who was talking about the UTIs he was getting, as well as something I learned about, which is that many MTFs have to have their urethras surgically widened every few years or so as they start narrowing from scar tissue build-up and the surgery is very expensive as well as requiring a catheter and the post-surgical recovery can be very painful.
For FTMs, I cannot imagine having to worry about urine leaking inside your inguinal cavity or the makeshift "scrotum" or from various fistulae on bottom of the makeshift dick.
Urinary complications can completely destroy your quality of life, and can be very dangerous. With each surgical correction that they have to do for these troons to try and jury-rig the ability to even piss properly makes it more likely that these troons are going to be permanently incontinent or worse when they are only in their 30's or 40's, perhaps even earlier.

However, he also claims he has an hourglass figure which is easily disproven by his post-op surgery pic. He also claims he's worked 4 jobs and has to be frugal to make it, any stopping of work will make him and his fiance homeless... and yet he went on a stink-ditch installation adventure about 4 weeks later....

So far nothing has touched the pain. 100mg tramadol did nothing, so they gave me 10mg oxycontin. That did nothing so they gave me 4mg hydrocodone, which also did nothing. I'm sitting here, the nurse refuses to give me anything, and I'm in 9/10 pain. Is this normal? They tell me it's normal. It's hurt like this since immediately after waking up.
It's almost like I can feel the scalpel cutting the glans of my penis, extremely sharp pain. Can't sleep.

I'm currently about 58 hours post op bottom surgery. I've had a lot of unmanaged pain despite hydromorphone every 4 hours, but my main hurdle right now is my inability to walk.
Even just moving my legs in bed hurts extremely bad, to the point that it feels like I ran 3 marathons the day before.
I'm on clindamycin, which I know can cause side effects like these, except the pain has been there since I woke up from surgery (I'm very inflexible, and I imagine they had my legs in all sorts of ways, I thought I had an injury that way)
The nurses said they they will not prescribe muscle relaxants, which is understandable given my opioid dose.
I can barely walk, it's like my legs are buckling under my weight every step I take. It's progressively gotten worse as time goes on. They hurt even when I am not using them now, and painkillers do nothing. I don't want to stay in bed, but at the same time I can barely walk.
Any ideas?
Edit: also, Ive been getting up and stretching as much as I can. I keep blacking out when I stand up (I have POTS) and heart rate ~180 until I lay back down. All my vitals are normal when laying down though.checkes 3x today and it's been consistent

Unfortunately a lot of providers look to, "relieve" pain vs eliminate pain. If they believe you are surviving with what they're giving you, they typically don't find the motivation to find more alternatives as it's considered, "good enough." They also have a nasty habit of not trusting women's pain. I hope they get you on something better, faster! Congratulations though! Get well soon!

Yeahm I told them the hydromorphone brought me down from a 10/10 to a 7/10, and I think they think it's good enough. But they told me they just can't give me anything stronger because the doctor isn't allowed to prescribe a morphine drip or a buprenorphine shot.

on the one hand, i think pain management is being gatekept excessively now. on the other, opiates reduce your tolerance to pain long term and are addictive so have sympathy for prescribing them as little as possible. that dude reads like he expected to be in 0 pain. going from a 10 (X) to a 7 is a fucking great result, that's from incompatible with life to maybe being able to go to the bathroom by yourself if you psych yourself up to it.
also, based on limited anecdotal experience in hospital, if you have serious pain then pain meds don't really touch it. i.e. it still hurts but the meds either make it slightly more tolerable or put you to sleep. i've known people who choose to stop treatment and die cos the strongest pain meds stopped even touching their pain. the idea that pain meds do anything but make the situation more manageable is only marginally more realistic than the idea you can craft a designer vagina from a dickhead and ballsack.
eta- fact checked myself, 7 out of 10 pain is actually better than i thought it was. given that he is malingering for pain meds and probably didn't use a chart to figure out where on the scale his pain should be, it may be accurate. who cares, getting part of your anatomy mangled hurts and if you don't think you can take it, maybe don't do it.
