Nah, JPEG subdivides images into little chunks that it handles separately, and one chunk won't get compressed the same way even if they superficially seem identical. There's interplay between chunks, too. It's entirely plausible for small details to get fudged differently.
Now whether we believe that two compression passes with (likely) libjpeg at default quality is enough to actually do that much damage is another question entirely.

Take one second to question why someone would even alter the time stamps and how someone could make that mistake when you can A) take real screenshots of fake messages by using inspect element with no effort or B) just change your icon and name to take real screenshots of real messages from someone that isn't actually him. It's clear that Caden decided to grift the money first before consulting with an attorney to make sure he understood the law correctly. At least he listened to the experts when they told him how retarded this endeavour would be and didn't think he knew the law better than they did.
How is any of this the courts failing?! Your case had basically zero legal merit to it. No court in the US would accept any bullshit like this.
