Imagine waiting over a decade for a sequel and getting black queen as protagonist. I'm happy I never really liked Alan Wake.
DD2 is looking exactly the same as DD1, and I'm fine with that. More is really all I wanted.
The chink game Phantom Blade 0 looked really interesting, but I couldn't tell if the combat is bamham-like or an actual action game. I'll definitely keep an eye on it, maybe it's actually good.
And the port of MGS1, 2 and 3 is cool, hopefully it's also released on PC. But I'm just curious where the fuck is a MGS4 port, the game is stuck on a shit console with shit performance.
Also, the amount of black women main characters keep surprising me every fucking time there is a conference.
No black women play vidya, no one else wants to play as a black women, no one making these games are black women. Why the fuck do they keep pushing this shit?

On one hand, this is the very definition of "Doubling Down" and SPITE is the driving force of it. Rather than just cut their losses, it pisses them off that the demographic does not accept nor want these kinds of things so they continue to shove it into people's faces hoping one day they will just tire out and just go "fine fuck it!!!"
On the other hand, normalfags have not only been infecting the vidya sphere, but are also the ones that swallow this shit up whole. Basically the faggots that become "influencers" that all other NPCs follow and watch because they all have shit-tier tastes.
Also, it's SONY... they've been seeped into the political poz for quite sometime, niggers included, so anything related to that they welcome with open arms.

I guess since Sony bought Bungie for almost 4 billion I can sneed about them in the Sony thread. The Marathon trailer had nothing to do with Marathon other than a few lines that appeared in the glitchy effects that came from the first game. The Marathon ship (I assume thats what it is) was redesigned to look like its just a spike stuck in a planet instead of a hollowed out asteroid. I checked the website and its about Tau Ceti IV. They are just using Marathon names because a new ip is 'too risky'. Instead make a shitty extraction shooter (only one that people play is Tarkov) and stick an old and beloved IP on it to generate interest.
Marathon was in a leak last year. I hoped it was fake because they said it was an extraction shooter, turns out it was real and I am extremely disappointed. Bungie no longer is going to ever make a single player game, they have completely shifted to live service shit, they even changed their motto from "make games we want to play" to some woke thing about 'inspiring friendship'. I think I posted the GDC talk about them not making actual games anymore a while back. This new Marathon is going to be Destiny repeated, but even more corporate and soulless, because Destiny at least started out with the original Bungie team working on it.
They did the same thing with the new Destiny 2 trailer, the game is going to shit and people are leaving in droves so bring back the funny Marvel man Cayde instead of actually fixing the issues. Bungie died when they made the deal with Activision years ago, all the people that created Halo are gone. Only Jason Jones remains and he's the one heading the shitty live service stuff.

If it was a single player game, or even just a completed game, I would have checked it out. I'm not going to play any live service games ever again, after I finally got out of the Destiny 2 pit last year.

ironically what saved it a bit was the indie and AA stuff. towers of aghasba might be just another survival crafting game with an avatar look, but if the performance is solid and with enough gamplay I could see myself spending quite a few hours in there to 100% it (unless it's too retarded).
same for phantom blade - but it's chink shit so comes with it's own caveats.
also say what you want but the MGR reveal was masterfully done. just remains to be seen how much they gonna fuck it up and "modernize" it without the kojimbo magic.
it's not even that, I'm pretty sure it's just for streaming. so the sony version of an nvidia shield...
people already said that for control, and it's remedy, so I'm _mildly_ optimistic.

AW2 is published by epic going by the title, so sony didn't shit it up (which means it will be shit in other ways...)
the other thing is after control it was pretty obvious alan wake wouldn't really be the protagonist any more. in the first game he is because he and the player both have to figure out the descent into the darkness, after that there isn't really anything he could do besides american nightmare as a full game, which would limit where the story could go (even more after control kinda retconned/recontextualized it)
with that in mind I don't care about the new protag being a black chick too much (yet). for one it's not one of the usual afro-wearing YASS KWEEENS, the other is I trust sam lake enough for now to not write a fucking fbi agent as such, so skin color and gender doesn't really matter. if he did he fucked up even harder in that case. plus there's already control with a female protagonist that wasn't insufferable like most these days.
and there is a good chance that it's just a part leading up to AW again, given the time difference going with an "outside" character first as an intro to bridge the gap and get people who never played the other games up to speed is a good and easy way to do it, to then switch back to AW. it's also seems everyone missed max fucking payne in the trailer (GET HIM), so we'll see.
don't get me wrong, I got nigger fatigue as much as the rest of us, but with the context and what I've seen I'm not going full blackpill yet (doesn't mean I won't keep my expectations high either tho).

A Sony "showcase" where most of the games were multiplats/time exclusives. Y'all notice how Sony went out of their way to hide the fact that most of the games were multiplats? They only showed the PS4 and/or PS5 logo on most of the games, implying they were exclusive. They even did it for Street Fighter, despite the fact that we've known what consoles that game is coming to for a while now. By the time we got to Dragons Dogma II, they had completely stopped showing console logos at all.
