Also to respond to your proship question, in circles like AO3 where staph writes her fanfiction, proship refers to people who are fine with writing anything (so even bestiality, incest, pedophilia, etc). You might see the term "anti" come up which means against proship. It's a huge discourse and there's some community watch threads dedicated to the drama.

On her Tumblr. All kinds of shit about being 'proship' and impotent rage at 'antiship', from her and from people who are as undoubtedly stupid as she is. She seems to have killed the blog with her Dahmer stuff, which is too bad because it was so impossibly trainwreck-y that it was entertaining in a sick way. So I guess what she's implying by being all 'proship' is that she writes terrible fiction about serial killers. 90% of her Tumblr is reblogs from other people who choose to be unemployable, with the odd picture of nice nature scenes. I'm trying to figure out how to filter the reblogs without comments from her, because it's easy to miss her actual writing. I'm just a Tumblr tourist, not a contributor.

when it comes to the 'pro' vs 'anti' debate, the facts are that anyone who identifies strongly as either is 100% going to be really fucking annoying and intensely terminally online at best or a total freak with numerous skellies in the closet at worst.
I think naturally any grown adult with a fully-formed frontal lobe and a sufficiently wrinkly brain would probably be closer to 'pro' because the whole 'pro' argument hinges on the fact that fiction does not typically reflect nor impact reality - that's why people can watch horror movies without turning into serial killers or Hannibal without wanting to eat people. there's also a lot of conversation on how engaging with quote-unquote 'problematic', fictional media, like fanfiction including rape or incest or ghosts of serial killers, can actually help some people get over previous trauma, since most 'pro' people are adult women who've gone through fucked up shit and like to read or write about it. whether you think it's logical or moral, most of the conversation revolves around 'should we be allowed to do that, and if not, why?'
however, people who define themselves so strongly as being 'pro' - like Staph - are always especially super fucking weird, to be honest. just look at all of the dodgy shit she does - THAT is why she identifies herself as being 'pro', because it impacts her specifically. for her it's not so much about the fiction, or allowing people to write what they want, or any of that stuff - it's about the fact that she's a bad person who believes bad things but doesn't want to be held accountable for it.
in another universe, she'd definitely be an 'anti' (in fact, I swear she used to be one, and used to despise ships like reylo because they were LITCHERALLY abuse, but maybe I'm misremembering? I'm sure a better Staph scholar will be able to recall) because a lot of grown 'anti's clearly use it as an excuse to get closer to children and teenagers since most 'anti's are quite literally kids between the ages of 13-19. ultimately, she gloms onto whatever will benefit her most at any given point, and this is it for now.
