Anyway, I was going to bring up animals because for example a lot of birds have harems. Turkeys, red-winged blackbirds, etc. The successful males (in turkeys there's a first and second but rarely any more toms are accepted) bang a shit load of women and very few of these survive to maturity. Like most men in the animal kingdom they absolutely don't give a shit about the kids or the hens after they banged them. Your unfixed local neighborhood cats do the same thing. I see no reason for humans to have evolved this trait because a "society" springing up to provide for and educate your offspring to success without you is much more recent. (I don't even mean in the state-provided sense, I just mean a community providing for the mother and child. I know there are disputes but for people, often "libertarian" or "socialist", interested in more primitive man they often ignore what the surplus of established permanently located agriculture did to humanity. Somebody in her replies pointed out that primates are already highly socially living animals compared to everyone else.)

Who knew men would just naturally like to give a woman a facial, but women are more likely to prefer it after seeing it represented in porn as something women do?

This simply shows that men's sexual preference in this area isn't affected by porn, while women's preference is. That's not particularly unsurprising. Women's preferences sexually are more shaped by culture and environment than are men's. It's called the female erotic plasticity hypothesis, and it has already been researched, which Aella would know if she'd ever read a book.

There's also another possible inverted explanation of that which would explain her graph: that women who like it seek it out. But notice she goes with neither of these to instead come up with some weird thing that isn't shown by her graph at all, the more men watch porn the more their prediction trails the woman's line! The "more porn" men underestimate more than the "less porn" men overestimate*. If you split it into two data points as a quick test of her hypothesis, the first two ordinal variables (less porn) might be more accurate looking at the graph!

*Which should be the confounding result of her survey, as you'd think the "more porn" men would overestimate women's preferences!

Good point--that is an equally viable explanation. One always has to be careful with explaining why data is the way it is, but Aella seems spectacularly bad at it.
Obviously it's because she wants the results of her study to be "porn is good" so she's bending the data to support that hypothesis even when it doesn't.
