You know, this comic perfectly sums up why I can't stand the left. They make these claims about how they're on the side of love and acceptance yet hate anyone who doesn't "love" like they do. It's the most insufferable hypocrisy I think I've ever seen.

The rationalwiki page on Stonetoss has insane amounts of seething. I'm surprised the author of this fine piece didn't go on to make a video essay about how much he hates Stonetoss.

Like the "shrimps is cockroaches" it's a pretty bad equivalence. Invader Zim doesn't have the truly awful things that justify hating Rick and Morty: constant insertion of sexual deviancies (especially incest and pedophilia), pretend intellectual smugness, "deel lore" and insertion of politics. Even the creator is somehow not a predator despite it being the rule in western animation.

Wearing shirts of western cartoons is cringe tho.

Yeah, I don't really know of anything wrong with liking Invader Zim except that you might be stuck in the wrong decade and that that you're still thinking about a kid's cartoon.

The most I can think of is that Invader Zim was also widely popular "wacky" show, but barely to the degree Rick and Morty did, and its fans where mostly fat girls rather than 30 year old redditors.

This seems a bit weird and out of place for what I assume it's going for. If it's trying to mock how people used to wear this shit all the time when Hot Topic was the new vogue, then it's ~10 years too late since I've yet to see anyone wearing Invader Zim or this "edgy" and "dark" aesthetic since idk how long ago. A more accurate portrayal of "fandoms mocking other fandoms" would've probably been something like that "athiest moves bible, christian moves the Quaran, and Jew moves the Communist Manifesto to the fiction section" comic he did a while back.
