Even if he decided to move to Ireland in the future, he'd have to restart the visa process if he crossed the border. It's not even like being British even has any perks anymore, the retard would've been better off getting an Irish passport, and paying for the polycule to move over to Ireland until he can get citizenship there, then he'd be able to move to Belfast (Brits/the Irish don't need visas to live in either country, even post-Brexit). If his intent is citizenship, an Irish passport would grant him free movement within the EU, as well as the right to live in the UK should he please, and he could be obnoxious about hating the UK and loving the IRA all the way along.

Just looking online, a train from Dundalk, one of the border towns to Belfast is only an hour or so, much closer to his boyfriends than he is now.
