SCOTUS as a whole wants to avoid touching 230 because its a viper's nest. You can't make any sectioned rulings, its all or nothing. And whether they rule for or against it... either side of the aisle loses.

Losing 230 would hurt everyone. Keeping 230 as is hurts everyone. And those are the only two options SCOTUS has. So, they kick it aside and leave it to congress as the only body that can do an action other than kill t or keep it as is.

Do not take any attack by Trump or current apparent allegiance as rote when it comes to staff. Trump will attack anyone not explicitly on his side then turn around and offer them a sweetheart deal. And nobody who is a functional political operative minds the attacks. They are par for the course and so long as no lines are crossed they are fair game and leave no hard feelings.

As for allegiances, those are fluid at the best of times and this is far from those. There are a ton of reasons to swap sides as a staffer that have nothing to do with political allegiance. Increasing one's salary through negotiations, acting as a political saboteur, simple opportunism for a position, espionage, or even just base pragmatism. All these and far more make staff positions very, very open to swapping around even between parties. Hell, I personally have mentioned working for Democrats a few times.
What's your take on the classified Iran attack plan that trump kept at mar a Lago?

I'm not a big techhead, But I work in financing so my perspective is that we need to just take a wait and see approach.

The tech industry seemed so dominant and controlling because of the easy money policies the Feds took which allowed investors to pump money endlessly into it. Those days are over now as the American economy is in its death throes and now we are left with a massively over-levraged tech industry that is now falling apart in real time. So the Big Tech companies will just naturally lose their sway overtime as practical services will likely overtake it again.

The Scotus is filled with dumb boomers who have concept of future proofing so if they touched section 230 they would likely fuck it up worse and it would be left in that state for years.

This is offtopic too, but I wish people would talk about the bank failures more because they were absolutely catastrophic. To put it into perspective the current Bank failures exceed the ones that happened in 2008. First Republic Bank failing was probably a deathblow and people refuse to talk about.

To summarize First Republic Bank, several of the major banks gathered about 30 billion in liquidity in an attempt to save it. The idea was to stop the contagion and have First Republic Bank act as a proof of concept that the US economy was not fucked. The other banks must have been desperate because they did this during a liquidity crisis. Unfornately the following month First Republic Bank failed as it needed about 70 billion more in liquidity to survive.

This is the second time that there has been a serious liquidity crisis for "small banks" -- the last one was Q4 2019 and suddenly we went full retard with lockdowns which spiked deposits. The economy is just so addicted to low rates that it was going into convulsions back at 2.5% in around Oct-Nov 2019 which mandated a full 1% cut by the end of the year, then back to 0.25% and enforced stimulation via lockdowns and unemployment checks, nobody could spend and unemployment was deposited in. This put some life back into the banks but they have tapered off immediately and we're right back where we were to begin with.

The economy is a mess. It's obvious the entire system is being rigged and manipulated under the hood by powers that be, though I personally think half of the reason there hasn't already been a crash is the A.I. trade bots pulling out some arcane bullshit to try and make line go up according to the parameters set by their company bosses.

I feel like this shit is getting supressed to prevent a panic from happening.

The whole system is a ponzi scheme. Even Bernie Madoff knew that. There is gonna be a point where whole populations wanna take their money out and there isn't enough to go around. That's gonna be the SHTF moment.

If you guys wanna hate the boomers more one way they can "solve" the debt crisis is by going into a conflict with China then using that as an excuse to continue printing money at a rate that would make Weimar blush. All so they can have their comfy retirement and let their children deal with the fallout. . . . God fuck boomers.

Wouldn't be China, their comfy lifestyles rely on outsourcing slave labor, manufacturing, pollution, etc to them. But something like Russia or Afghanistan 3.0? Yeah, they could use that to justify a new foreverwar and the pumping of the dollar involved, I'm sure. At least long enough for those selfish fucks to die, then it's someone else's problem.

Didn't they do the same thing to a ten year old girl who was doing AOC impressions?

Of all the political supporters out there, AOC's simps are the fucking worst. They're a bunch of starry eyed idiots who think that her turning into Fidel Castro with titties would be the most empowering thing ever.

Yeah, that was Mini AOC. She was great and clearly had fun doing it, but grown ass adults kept threatening to rape and murder the little girl and dox her parents and all kinds of shit a kid shouldn't have to deal with, so her parents took her off Twitter.

Progressives want to rape children? Can't say I'm shocked. Disgusted, yes. Shocked, no.

When the cop tells you to stop, you look him in the eye and finish. Then you spit in his mouth and call his mother a Godless whore.

Incidently, I don't think that it's inconceivable that Kerry tries for another bite of the apple and tries to replace Kamala on the ticket. Then they can let Joe resign/die and Kerry the quintessential Globohomo insider takes over. I don't think he's planning to run against Joe. Why would he, he's one of the people puppeting Joe, after all.
Something I hadn't thought of; if there's a primary for the democrats, does that mean Kamala has to run again, or is he position as VP guaranteed?
I can see Biden keeping his spot (I doubt that the dems would dump a sitting president, no matter how bad he is doing), but Kamala is absolutely toxic, and the "first black VP" thing probably isn't enough to save her.

In virtue signalling news, Fort Bragg has been renamed to Fort Liberty because "da Confederacy". So the lesson here is you can oppose the US government over a century ago and still have the military name things after you as long as you're not white (see the Apache helicopter).
Remind me, Fort Bragg is the fort that is literally a hellhole with a drug and rape problem right? Did they just MLK street it?
