I'd not give percentages, but I can say the majority, on both sides of the aisle, are very fluid. They loosely align with one party or another but too long seeing how the sausage is made has jaded them beyond imagining as to how well the system works.Out of curiosity, what would you anecdotally ballpark the percentage of staffers, aides, wonks, etc who are True Belivers vs Fluid?
This is why he reads as inauthentic to people. This is clearly a position that was hammered out by a bunch of polling spergs pushing their glasses up their nose as and going 'wow, x, y, & z poll well, lets work those into a statement'. They think they're being so slick, and view voters as stupid rubes who can be easily manipulated by shit like this. But people sniff it out intuitively rather easily, and Trump's refusal to indulge this sort of campaigning was a big part of his appeal. Trump never ran on ending gay marriage, was lukewarm on abortion, and just didn't strongly support so many of the Evangelical block's lifelong political crusades, and imo that demographic respected him for his refusal to play politics and voted for him because they expected him to deliver on other things which they cared about.
That really only came from the furry voting bloc. Granted, they're quite influential in their own right. This is what people mean when they make that now-infamous claim that 'I voted for him because I could picture myself having a bear with him'.
Gosh, how could a law about curriculum in public schools fail to stop people from wearing red t-shirts on private property they paid to be admitted to!View attachment 5150207
Holy shit, I haven't seen a self-immolation this complete since John-Paul Neumann. Can you prove yourself to be any more ineffective, you limp-dicked meatball?
Gosh, how could a law about curriculum in public schools fail to stop people from wearing red t-shirts on private property they paid to be admitted to!
Next they're going to point out how the permitless concealed carry law doesn't affect wetlands conservation!
Time to send the national guard in.That is true, but this is less to do with the Parental Rights bill and more with how Disney gleefully shot themselves into Florida politics and proceeded to try and blatantly influence it. Their Pride parade is obviously insisting they are better than Florida and attacking the government that has given them a tax break out of a deal. If this was any other company on any other state they would have already been crushed. But it's (D)ifferent this time.
The fact DeSantis moved to try and punish them, and the result was Disney just making a fool of him with the new terms they pushed and the full control of the local politics under their control is what this is about. And they are gleefully bragging and doing a victory lap over it, as they honestly earned the right to by playing the Meatball with their superior lawyer kvetching because DeSantis was foolish enough to try and attack them without having a planned offensive and be ready to actually threaten them with real world consequences thinking the lawyers and corporate people and True Believers would act in "good faith" as if they were both fighting for the same team and not Woke Ideologues in one side and basic bitch neocon reaction on the other.
If the deep state has their way, he will be, someday.DeSantis ain't gonna be president. Hopefully he sucks up all the neocon money rather than someone effective closer to the election.
Yep. The thing is DeSantis doesn't even have to send them INTO Disneyland or their land. All he needs to do is enforce the terms Disney is oviously pushing for: Statehood.Time to send the national guard in.
