Yes I am. Swastikas didn’t start any genocide, they’re a cultural symbol used across the world. They were used as a symbol by one dodgy regime, just like how rainbows are lovely and universal and now are tainted.
In the local museum there’s a knit sweater with swastikas knitted in from the twenties, and the symbol is still used in folk decoration across Europe and in many other cultures.
It’s an exact analogy. It’s a symbol that no longer means what it started out as. The rainbow is deliberately provocative, as a symbol of the end of an event started by degeneracy. The Nazis just picked it because it looked cool and ancient, and they were into occult dumb stuff, but a more accurate analogy would be it becoming a symbol of a movement to wipe out a group for whom it had been sacred.
I wouldn’t put my kids in swastikas becasue it’s an innocent symbol tainted by a regime I dislike and I wouldn’t put them in rainbows becasue these days that symbols acceptance of an ideology I don’t like.
